Restaurante Casino Marbella ushers in the new season with a revitalised menu that is sure to captivate discerning palates. At the helm, chef Agustín Román once again delivers a singular gastronomic experience, where hand-picked ingredients merge in perfect harmony to create an orchestra of flavours and textures that both excite the senses and elevate fine dining to new heights of sophistication.
Staying true to his dedication to local produce while indulging his flair for the exotic, Agustín unveils five meticulously crafted dishes set to enchant aficionados of contemporary cuisine.
Paying tribute to Peruvian culinary heritage, the standout Salmon Ceviche with Quince and Hints of Lime delights with its freshness and originality—undoubtedly a strong contender for dish of the season. For those craving bolder flavours, the Hot Casino Potatoes offer a daring touch, perfectly balanced with just the right level of heat and the deep richness of a house-made sauce.
Next comes the Veal “Suizo”, an elegant reinvention of the classic oxtail stew, subtly aromatic and served in a soft brioche bun—elevating comfort food into the realm of creative modern dining. Meanwhile, the Mazamorra with Mango and Mojama is a celebration of Andalusian tradition. This daring dessert unites the sweetness of mango ice cream, the delicate saltiness of cured tuna, and the slight bitterness of almond to form a beautifully contrasting, unforgettable medley.
Rounding off this culinary journey, the chef pushes boundaries with a White Chocolate Soup—a decadent dessert where creamy white chocolate meets the tang of red berries and the crunch of almond brittle, delivering a delightful finale with surprising complexity.
From 13 May, each of these culinary creations will be available at Restaurante Casino Marbella, open daily from 20:00 to 02:00 (summer hours: 21:00 to 02:30).
MARBELLA FERIAS & FIESTAS
Where to Celebrate?
Welcome to the San Bernabé Fair – Marbella’s Most Joyful Celebration!
One of the most anticipated moments of the year has arrived! Marbella is ready to celebrate the Feria de San Bernabé – a vibrant tribute to our patron saint, where the city's heart beats louder than ever.
During these festive days, Marbella transforms into a colourful spectacle of tradition, music, dancing, and joyful gatherings. Streets are decorated, flamenco dresses fill the squares, and locals and visitors alike come together to enjoy the spirit of Andalucía.
What’s the San Bernabé Fair All About?
This isn’t just another event on the calendar – it’s a heartfelt celebration of our cultural heritage. The fair honours San Bernabé, Marbella’s patron saint, and offers a perfect opportunity to connect with local traditions, meet people, and soak up the authentic Andalusian way of life.
Organised by the Town Hall in collaboration with local associations and brotherhoods, the fair features a packed programme for all ages – from family-friendly fun and traditional games to lively music, dance, and delicious food.
Day Fair: Head to the city centre, especially the old town (Casco Antiguo), where you’ll find open-air bars (casetas), music, and flamenco in the streets.
Night Fair: Held at the recinto ferial (fairground), this is where the celebrations continue after sunset with fair rides, concerts, and more festivities.
Cultural
Tips for Visitors
Dress the part: Locals often wear traditional Andalusian outfits – ladies in trajes de flamenca (flamenco dresses), men in smart shirts or traditional traje corto. While not required, joining in is always welcome!
Try local flavours: Sample rebujito (a refreshing mix of sherry and lemonade), grilled sardines, and local tapas.
Friendly & festive: Marbella locals are warm and welcoming – a smile and a simple ¡Feliz Feria! (Happy Fair!) go a long way.

ESTHER CASTRO INSURANCE AGENT
Client Testimonial
As an expat and a self-employed worker in Spain, getting private insurance was both a necessity and a daunting task. Thankfully, Esther Castro at Caser Seguros made the process absolutely seamless. Her warm nature made me feel like I was just calling up a friend to ask for advice she listened to my situation and helped me choose the best insurance plans with genuine care.
So far, my partner and I have medical and dental coverage for less than 55 euros a month, which is incredible value. On top of that, when I opened a workshop or had to handle corporate events, all I had to do was let Esther know, and she arranged the coverage I needed without hassle.
Esther always says that life insurance is the insurance of love and we’re happy to take that on too. More than anything, as an autónomo (self-employed worker), I feel that Esther truly goes out of her way to get us the best quotes and deals, always being upfront and honest about what’s worth it and what’s not.
Thank you, Esther, for being so much more than just an insurance agent. Thank you for being there to help us insure our most important life events.
-C. Forbes.

Transforming the Ordinary into the Extraordinary – The Art of Ekaterina Chernysheva at White Square Art Gallery
This Month, @kat artista has contributed with a series of decorative paintings, brooches, and intricately crafted sculptures all made using innovative recycling art techniques
“Inspiration often strikes in the most unexpected places: the dusty roadside, a forgotten alleyway, the remnants of daily life ” What others overlook as trash, she sees as potential A rusty bottle cap, a broken shard of glass, fragments of old costume jewelry, plastic remnants, or even pieces of bark become catalysts for creation
Once these materials speak to her, she transforms them, blending the incongruous with poetic precision into visually compelling and environmentally conscious artworks
Her work embodies a deep commitment to sustainability and imagination, merging artistic expression with ecoconscious practices Each piece carries the story of transformation and renewal from elaborately decorated serving boards to repurposed bottles Her themed chopping boards, in particular, captivated collectors and art lovers alike
Celebrated member of the White Square Art Gallery family, not only featured in Flora and Fauna, but also in our previous Abstract Art exhibition. She was one of our top-selling artists during the holiday season in December and again during Easter, a testament to the resonance and appeal of her work.
