I

t’s been a great scholastic sports season, when we’re still talking about state championships after graduation. As I’m penning this article, the Montoursville Warrior baseball team is still alive and in the final four in the 4A division. Good luck to Manager Jeremy Eck and all his Warriors; hopefully, the next time I talk to you, they have gold medals hanging around their necks.

There is no better way for an athlete to end their senior season than with a PIAA run to a gold medal.

This is exactly what the Hughesville boys’ 3200 relay team accomplished a couple of weeks back. A Webb Weekly tip of the cap with the American ag on the side to Spartan seniors Tyce Shaner, Carter Sherwood, and Tristan Kurzawa, who teamed up with sophomore Patrick Stine to pass the baton for

gold in their final race of the season. I understand the hard work those seniors put in during their careers, and what a way to close 3200 Relay Winners: things out.

The Hughesville girls doubled up on relay gold. irst up, Kylie Temple, Grace ortin, Katelyn Temple, and Emelia Wolfe won Hughesville’s first girl power relay team gold in the relay at Shippensburg. And yes, the Temple girls are sisters if you were wondering.

proved to be.

The senior had won state gold in the past and made sure the Spartans didn’t relinquish their top seed in the 3200.

Next up on the golden double dip was the 400-relay team. Again, anchored by sisters Kylie and Katelyn. reshman Casey Schultz showed some more firepower coming from that class of 2029. And

his Saturday, June 13, Market Street Hill in Williamsport will come alive as soapbox racers take to the course for the annual Williamsport Soap Box Derby.

Soap Box Derby racing started in Williamsport in 1941 and ran until 1954, except during World War II from 1942 to 1945.

During those years, Williamsport had 10 champions who went on to represent the city at the All-American Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio.

The biggest moment was in 1951, when Darwin Cooper from Danville won the National Soap Box Derby Championship. This year, local racers will compete for the “Darwin Cooper Memorial Trophy.”

Mike Barclay, a member of the race committee and the Williamsport Ki-

wanis Club, explained that the committee was formed in 2009 thanks to Dr. James Campbell’s vision. “Jim raced in the Soap Box Derby as a child and wanted to bring the event back to Williamsport. “ e first reached out to the City of Williamsport and shared his idea with former mayor Gabriel Campana, who was excited and fully supported it.

“Next, Jim contacted the Kiwanis Club of Williamsport to find volunteers. That’s how I became involved.

As a member of the Kiwanis Club, I have served as the club’s representative for the Soap Box Derby ever since.

“We realized we needed help with promotion and publicity to recruit drivers, find sponsors, and raise public awareness,” Barclay told Webb Weekly.

She plans on attending Pennsylvania College of Technology in the fall to pursue a career in Dental Hygiene. Cali works in the Dietary Department at Nippenose Valley Senior Living. Barclay says the Williamsport Soap Box Derby is truly a community event, and it wouldn’t be possible without local support.

The event now costs nearly $30,000 each year. Without car sponsors, the race wouldn’t happen. Organizers are very grateful to their sponsors, most of whom have supported the race from the beginning and continue to renew their support every year.

Expenses cover things like race shop rent, insurance, registration, cars and parts, trophies, t-shirts, and travel and hotel costs for the winners and their families to attend the International Championships in Akron, Ohio, each July.

The winners of the Stock and Super Stock divisions go on to represent Williamsport at the International Championships.

After nearly 60 years away, the Soap Box Derby returned to Williamsport on July 3, 2010, with 52 cars taking part in the local race. In 2011, the race welcomed a special guest: former International Soap Box Derby Grand Champion Darwin Cooper. He won the Williamsport race in 1951, driving the Williamsport Sun-Gazette car, and then went on to win the International Championships in Akron.

“Darwin was so happy we resurrected the race here in Williamsport. In his honor, the annual winners of our local race get their names on the Darwin Cooper Champion Cup, which is proudly displayed at the Williamsport Lycoming Chamber of Commerce lobby,” said Barclay.

Over the years, the race has grown to include 64 cars — 32 Stock Cars and 32 Super Stock Cars.

Since coming back, the Williams-

port Soap Box Derby has expanded by buying a timing system, building three trailers to move cars up the hill, adding bumper boards for safety, purchasing tents, and renting warehouse space for easier car access and safety checks.

“Our race is always in need of volunteers. Our Race committee is always looking for individuals to serve,” Barclay said. “Many of our race committee members are aging and have moved on, and we need to replace them. We have a couple of former racers, Jane Mertes and Jack Holmes, now serving on the committee. For the event’s longevity, we need more individuals like Jane and Jack to serve. We always need help on race day. Even if it’s just setting up the track and tearing it down, in the past, many of the neighbors have stepped in to help.”

Barclay concluded, “It is great to see the families supporting the racers.

The joy it brings the families is very satisfying to us volunteers. That is why we do it.”

Williamsport Sun – June 11, 1941 Robert Hughes Who Once Helped Slaves to Freedom Dies at Family Homestead Compiled by Lou Hunsinger Jr.

R

obert Hughes, oldest resident of Loyalsock Township, whose home along Freedom Road was a station on the famous Underground Railroad in Civil War times, died at his home on June 10, 1941.

A life-long resident of Lycoming County, Mr. Hughes was born about 1856 in the home where his death occurred. He had never lived in any other house.

He was the last individual in this locality to have personal knowledge of the route over which fugitive slaves were smuggled to Canada while eeing from their South-

ern owners before the Civil War. As a boy he assisted his family in feeding and sheltering slaves who were brought to their out-of-the way home in the hollow north of Williamsport to rest and hide until being moved farther north.

Often, he recalled, it was necessary to conceal the fugitives in the thick underbrush and woods about the cottage house.

The runaways were brought here from Northumberland and after resting in concealment with the Hughes family, would be transferred by night to Elmira, Oswego and Canasteo, N.Y., thence into Canada.

Mr. Hughes was the son of Daniel Hughes, a Mohawk Indian, who came here from Canada, participated in In-

dian encampments at Muncy, and later purchased the land on which the Hughes homestead is now located. His mother was a Negro, whose uncle was the first settler along Freedom Road.

It was the friendliness of Daniel Hughes and wife that prompted them to open their home to the fugitives. In later years they showed similar sentiments in dedicating one acre of their land for a cemetery for Negroes. In this plot is buried 35 to 40 Negroes of the Civil War. Mr. Hughes was the last of 16 children.

He had retired about 10 years ago after 40 years with the Vallamont Land Company but until his death insisted on acting as caretaker of the small cemetery beside his house.

arm weather in PA doesn’t ease in. Sure, there are a few teasing days of spring temperatures and then BAM! Full-blown summer hits with hardly any time for adjustments to your wardrobe, your internal clock, or to answer the age-old question, “What should I wear today?” Most months of the year, when uncertainty creeps into my outfit for the day, I grab a pair of jeans and keep it simple. But, in summer, the heavy, restrictive fabric just isn’t practical, so let’s run down a few alternatives for the season instead of wearing jeans.

Obviously, shorts and summer go hand in hand, but the trend toward shorter shorts may not be suitable for everyone or every day. his article is for the people who are on the fence about taking control of their health.

Maybe you know you need to take better care of yourself, but you keep putting it off.

Maybe you are stuck in a yo-yo cycle where you are all in for a few weeks, fall off for a while, then get motivated and jump right back in again.

I get it.

A lot of us start our health journey because we want to look better.

There is nothing wrong with that.

But over time, something changes.

You realize that taking care of your health

is about a lot more than how you look.

It becomes about being the healthiest version of yourself that you can be.

Not just for you.

For your family.

For your spouse.

For your kids.

The goal becomes having the energy to play with your kids, being around for your grandkids one day, and being able to show up as your best self for the people you love.

I know it is not this simple, but I am going to try to simplify it into three words: Priority. Confidence. Discipline.

The bottom line is this.

If you choose fast food, you are prioritizing that over eating healthy. If you choose to sit on the couch instead of working out, you are prioritizing Jimmy that over moving your Webb III body.

I am not saying you are not allowed to do those things. You can prioritize whatever you want.

But when you break it down that way, it makes decisions a lot easier.

You have to ask yourself, “Is this helping me become the person I want to be?”

There is an old saying that goes, “You can’t soar with the eagles if you hoot with the owls.”

Confidence A lot of being healthy and doing the right thing comes down to confidence.

It takes confidence to make hard decisions.

You have to be willing to tell people no and be comfortable with it.

“No, I am not going to eat that because I am watching what I eat and trying to take care of myself.”

Or...

“No, I am not staying out late because I need to get up early and get my workout in.”

The funny thing is, people often push back on you. They will try to make you feel bad about making a healthy choice.

or a long time, I tried to figure out why.

I think it is because when you choose to do the right thing, it puts a mirror in front of other people. It forces them to think about the choices they are making.

There have been plenty of times where I have gone somewhere, hung out with friends, and just had a water. Not because I did not want to be there, but because I wanted to stay on track with my goals.

You do not have to choose between having a life and being healthy. You can do both.

One quote I heard that has always stuck with me is this: “A cupcake tastes good for about two minutes. Feeling good lasts a whole lot longer.”

Lastly, there is discipline.

Discipline is really just self-respect in action.

It is choosing long-term growth over shortterm comfort.

It is choosing the workout when you would rather sleep in.

It is choosing the healthier meal when the easier option is sitting right in front of you.

It is understanding that one good decision will not change your life, just like one bad decision will not ruin it. The key is stacking good days on top of good days.

Over time, those days add up.

You feel better. You have more energy. You become stronger physically and mentally.

Most importantly, you become a better version of yourself.

Repasz Band for America 250: Summer Concert Schedule

n 2031, Williamsport’s world-famous Repasz Band will celebrate its 200th year of continuous existence; but in the meantime, this year, the local ensemble honors yet another anniversary — America’s 250th — with a robust slate of concerts in June, July and August.

With 10 Central PA gigs on the schedule, the band’s summer 2026 program highlights accomplished local musi-

cians, while also presenting such patriotic favorites as “America the Beautiful,” “Stars and Stripes Forever” and the national anthem — plus a medley featuring all five themes from each branch of the U.S. armed forces.

In addition, the summer tune-selection focuses on various aspects of Central PA history and locales.

“The Eagles Mere March” — which the band will perform in the titular town on July 4 (and at other shows) — was arranged by long-time Repasz conduc-

Several planned summer pieces were composed or arranged by local musicians F. H. Losey and Harry J. Lincoln — the latter of whom worked on the signature “Repasz Band March.” Fittingly then, many of the program’s selections were originally published by the now-defunct Vandersloot Music Co., formerly located on West Third Street in Williamsport with an o ce on Tin Pan Alley in Manhattan. Lincoln and Losey had both been on the andersloot staff.

The Repasz summer concerts will also include some more recent tunes by Rossano Galante (“Liberty”) and Nathan Hervey (“Everyday Heroes”) — plus a medley of George M. Cohan hits including “Give My Regards to Broadway,” “Yankee Doodle Dandy” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag.”

Likewise, “The Brandon Park March” will be played twice at the park’s bandshell — where Repasz performed when that facility was dedicated in 1914.

(That’s why the ensemble’s historical marker stands nearby.) The “Brandon” march was written in 1883 by long-time Muncy entrepreneur and musician Preston Gowers.

Similarly, 1921’s “Buick March” (also on the summer slate) was composed

by Williamsport musician John Hazel.

Widely considered his era’s “wizard of the cornet,” Hazel wrote and arranged many tunes for Repasz.

And “The Millionaires March” was likewise composed by Williamsport musician C. D. Henninger — with its title honoring the city’s one-time Tri-State League baseball team (1906 — 10).

The 116-year-old March was recently rearranged by USAF trumpeter and bugle-call expert Jari Villanueva — who will himself conduct the piece for Repasz’s June 9 performance at Nippenose Valley Village.

The Crosscutters’ Burd Brothers Have Extensive NHL Pedigree

If that isn’t notable enough, the brothers, Steele and Slaide Burd, have an extensive National ockey League pedigree in their back-

ground.

Two of their great-grandfathers are N L all of amers, Bernie “Boom Boom” Geoffrion, the inventor of the “slap shot,” and oward Morenz.

Their grandfather, arland Monahan, enjoyed a fine career in the N L with the New ork angers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, and Los Angeles Kings in the late s and early s.

“It’s definitely a dream come true to get the chance to play professional baseball,” Slaide Burd told Webb Weekly. “It’s also kind of neat to play on the same team as your brother. It means a lot for me to start in a place so rich in baseball history. I just graduated from high school, and having him around on the same team will help me get acclimated to the faster pace of baseball at this level. I really

enjoy the idea of playing at a place as historic as this is.”

Steele, the older of the two brothers, may have the harder task, because he plays the demanding position of catcher, but it is a challenge he is ready to meet.

“I had a pretty good season at unior College the State College of lorida-Manatee-Sarasota , and I hope that gave me some good preparation for playing here,” Steele stated. “I really look forward to learning a lot and honing my skills this year.

It’s going to be a great challenge for me as well as Slaide.”

Both are uick to point to their strong Christian beliefs to help them get through the rigors of the season.

“We both trust in God and have faith in him, and he will sustain us through whatever we may encounter,” stated Steele.

The Burds will be attending Stetson niversity in DeLand, lorida, this fall. In the meantime, they will play for the Cutters during the first half of the season, when all players are amateurs and have not signed any professional contracts yet.

He took time out of his day to drive to the outskirts of town and haul us all home, our kids likely jabbering the whole time. And as I mentioned a few weeks ago, our neighbor, Jay R., not only started our leaf blower on more than one occasion, he also helped us relearn how to vacuum our pool the old-fashioned way (by hand) without once chuckling at our ineptitude.

And there was the summer that our neighbor, Craig C., helped my husband dig through an ungodly amount of shale to install our new mailbox — one that was attached to a wooden post he painstakingly measured and built in his shop, just to be neighborly.

What’s more, our friend and neighbor, Jeremy J., plows our driveway every winter with his nifty four-wheeler (sometimes with his daughter aboard), never once asking to be compensated for his efforts. “We hope that this eliminates apprehension to receive services. We have connections made, and barriers lessen, leading to follow-up and follow-through. I so much appreciate how advocacy also happens as a result of connections being made at the resource fair. Pipeline referrals- I have done this myself numerous times. In addition to this, neighbors and our community have opportunities to connect, learn, collaborate, and be introduced or reintroduced to services in our area. This can only strengthen our community.”

“STM was named after one of my heroes, Sojourner Truth,” said Pastor Angelique. “She escaped slavery and went on to be a powerful preacher, abolitionist, promoted women’s and all people’s rights, and demonstrated that one’s past does not need to dictate their future. People can rise from their circumstances and ought to help others along the way. We are a soup kitchen serving in Williamsport. One of our tag lines is “so much more than a soup kitchen”, and we welcome people in for community time and a hearty meal while treating each with dignity. The food is often times the back door to connecting with others, and agencies, who may be able to help people with their specific areas of need. We do everything with the love of

s the readers of the Webb Weekly know, I don’t venture into politics — and I’m not going to start today. Don’t get me wrong, the expression of political opinion is important. Why? Because in a free society, we need balance. The only way to achieve balance is to hear what others are thinking and the history of how they arrived at their conclu-

sions. Heated political debate tends to cool down when opponents shift their focus from defending a position to building a relationship.

I was having lunch with an atheist. It wasn’t a chance meeting. The reason we were eating together was because he had identified himself at a public event as an avowed atheist. Because I believe God exists, I am intrigued by those who believe

the exact opposite. I was honored that he would take time out of his busy schedule to meet with me, and I let him know I was thankful for that grace.

I had initiated our Tim Hartzell meeting, so I hosted the conversation.

Before jumping into the topic of atheism, I asked questions about his life: family, profession, hobbies, experiences. His responses allowed me to share about my life. We discovered we had a lot in common.

The conversation was easy and enjoyable.

I shifted the conversation to atheism by asking him about the journey that led him to that conclusion. It wasn’t a loaded question. I wasn’t seeking a gotcha statement that I could leverage to win the conversation. I was sincerely curious about his journey — and he sensed it.

What he shared was an all-too-familiar story. His mother was a life-

long believer, and he loved her dearly. When she was diagnosed with cancer, their church told them that if they had enough faith, God would heal her. She prayed and fasted. The church held a healing service where she was anointed with oil by elders who declared that the prayer of faith would heal the sick. He placed his full faith in God’s power to deliver his mother from cancer.

The healing didn’t happen. His mother suffered terribly as the cancer progressed and finally took her life. The disappointment was deep and led to a full rejection of God. His story of disappointment was all too familiar because we Christians often attempt to speak for God. We twist his words to match our desires and opinions. We put periods where God has left question marks.

We get full of ourselves, thinking we can contain the Almighty in our little theological statements and dogmatic boxes. Our assumptions and arrogance set people up for failure and destroy relationships. That’s what happened to my atheist lunch

I suggested that God must have a lot of faith in us if he was willing to say no to our fervent faith-filled prayers. I asked him if I could pray to conclude our time together. He graciously allowed me to do so. We stood up, shook hands, and then embraced. A believer and an atheist who shared lunch and encouraged each other. We both received grace that day.

Is God male? The next time someone asks you a hot-button question, take a moment to learn about their journey. Listen intently. Be open and honest about your journey. Seek to build a relationship rather than win an argument, and maybe, just maybe, your time together will end in a grace-filled embrace. Our world could use more of that.

The church had presented a God who could be manipulated by faith to do exactly what he and his mother wanted. It was a well-intentioned lie, but a lie just the same.

Yes, faith can move the heart of God, and yes, a lack of faith can keep miracles from happening. But hear this: faith cannot guarantee an outcome. If it could, God would be diminished to nothing more than the grantor of wishes.

I empathized with my new friend.

I, too, was taught that faith could bring about a guaranteed miracle.

I, too, suffered a deep faith disappointment and struggled with my belief in God. We found common ground in our pain and expressed concern for each other.

I then shared with him about two men in the Bible who also suffered deep disappointment as their faith collided with the unmovable and redemptive will of God: In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed earnestly for God’s intervention. e was filled with per-

The world’s most famous monadnock, however, is almost certainly Uluru, or Ayer’s Rock — a massive copper-colored monolith in Central Australia.

he Lycoming County Board of Commissioners gathered on Thursday, May 28, 2026, for a public session that carried the full texture of local government at work. Commissioners Scott Metzger, Marc Sortman, and Mark Mussina presided over a meeting that moved from communi-

ty tension to community hope, from careful spending to careful planning, and from the weight of the present to the promise of what comes next. It was, by any measure, a morning that re ected the breadth of responsibility these three men carry on behalf of every resident in the county.

Public comment opened with a moment that deserved careful attention.

Township Fire Company and a township supervisor, stepped forward to address the board directly and with quiet resolve. She asked that county o cials reach out to local leaders privately and professionally before making public statements critical of township cleanup efforts, a re uest born from earlier commissioner pressure urging the township to move faster on addressing conditions in the area. Her words were measured and dignified, a reminder that productive relationships between layers of government are built not through public pressure alone, but through the kind of direct, respectful communication that makes genuine collaboration possible. The exchange was civil on all sides, and it pointed toward a path both parties can walk together with greater trust, mutual

understanding, and shared purpose in the future.

The commissioners also addressed something that had unfolded the evening before. On May 27, a high-priority community meeting drew together a remarkable coalition of local nonprofits, clergy, law enforcement, and educators, all gathered around a shared and urgent concern: a rise in youth offenses across the county.

Chairman Metzger and community members explored the revival of a youth commission model. This framework responds to minor offenses not with the cold machinery of the court system, but with community service, monthly mentorship, and deliberate parental involvement. It is a vision rooted in the belief that a young person who stumbles deserves a hand up before they ever need a way out.

The energy and commitment present in that room the evening before carried clearly into the morning session, suggesting that this conversation is far from over and that meaningful action is on the horizon.

These are not small decisions. Behind every hire is a resident who will one day need help, and a county that has made certain someone will be there to provide it.

The May 28 meeting was, in many ways, a portrait of what local government looks like when it is doing its job well. It listened carefully. It invested wisely. It planned thoughtfully. And in the spaces between the motions and the votes, it revealed a county that genuinely cares about the people it serves and the future it is working to build for them.

While summer can be a great time for rest and fun, it can also bring major shifts in sleep, meals, activity, and screen use. or children, those changes can affect physical health, emotional well-being, and how smoothly they transition back to school later on.

With a little planning, families can help children enjoy a summer that is fun, active, and healthy. ere are a few simple ways to support good routines, safer screen habits, and overall wellness all season long.

Keep Routines and Screen Habits on Track Without the structure of the school day, it is easy for bedtimes to drift later and for screens to fill more of the day.

The recent .S. Surgeon General’s advisory on screen use warns that it can interfere with sleep, learning, physical activity, and in-person social connection. Early screen exposure is also

linked to developmental and language concerns, and excessive use in older children and teens can contribute to mental and behavioral health problems. Parents should also monitor the content children are viewing, not just how much time they spend on screens.

Try to keep wake-up and bedtimes within about an hour of the schoolyear schedule when possible. Set regular times for meals, outdoor play, reading, chores, and downtime so screens do not become the default activity.

Screen-free meals, screen-free bedrooms, and unplugging before bedtime can help protect sleep and create more opportunities for conversation, movement, and family connection.

Parents do not have to aim for perfection. Instead, focus on balance and on what screens may be replacing.

That can be wonderful for physical and mental health but being mindful about how long children are exposed to the sun and heat is important for well-being. Long stretches in the sun and high temperatures can become risky if families are not prepared.

Sun safety starts with shade, protective UV clothing, hats, and sunglasses, along with sunscreen. Choose a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SP of 30 or higher and apply it about 15 minutes before going outside. eapply every two hours and after swimming or sweating. There are two types of topical skin protection – regular chemical-based sunscreen, or mineral sun block. Both are effective. Swimming is a great way to cool off. emember to have an adult who is not in the water to be a designated lifeguard, so that everyone is clear who is watching the swimmers. Drowning is a silent act.

Children can develop heat-related illnesses quickly, especially during active play or sports. Encourage water before, during, and after outdoor activity, and build in breaks in the shade or indoors during the hottest hours of the day, generally from late morning through late afternoon. Sugary drinks do not provide hydration as well as water.

Use Summer to Catch Up on Preventive Care

With school schedules out of the way, summer is often the easiest time to catch up on your child’s medical needs.

A well-child visit helps make sure your child is growing and developing appropriately and gives families time to ask questions about sleep, behavior, nutrition, mood, screen use, sports, or any other concerns.

Your pediatrician can review physical and emotional health, update needed immunizations, and complete forms for school, camp, or sports. If your child takes daily medication, summer is also a good time to review doses, refills, and any side effects or concerns.

Preventive care is more than a checklist. It is a chance to partner with your child’s doctor and build healthy habits that support your child throughout the year.

Summer should be a time for joy, exploration, and family memories.

By protecting sleep, setting healthier boundaries around screens, staying safe in the sun and heat, and keeping up with preventive care, families can help children enjoy a season that supports both fun and long-term health.

Another idea is to try to commit to a few hours at least one day a week to put the phone away. Out of sight truly may mean out of mind.

Make it less accessible Technology often is over-used because designers engineered it to be easily accessible. By making things slightly less convenient, a person may be less inclined to use

Trolling can be done in a couple of different ways, with the most common approach being to place your rod or rods in a rod holder or to simply hold the rod while the offering trails behind the boat. You can also employ both techniques by holding one rod and placing two in the rod holders. Using three rods at once is permissible. To be honest, I usually fish with one rod in the holder and one in my hand. I like to hold one rod because I can feel the strike and see the rod tip move. It’s important when you are trolling that you try to work your lures at different depths. When crappie fishing, you can’t fish too big a lure, so that weight may be insu cient; no problem-just add a split shot or two a foot or so above your offering to get the lure down deeper. We often fish with two jigs tied about two feet apart, so we already get deeper, and make our offering at two different depths at the same time. By the way, it does happen that you get two fish at the same time on that double

“We have a staff of just under fifty employees that includes all the various support people needed to all phases of the concession operation. This includes the Diamond Wait staff who caters to the field-reserved seating areas. We do the best we can with our vendors to get people what they need.”

“Even with the food variety we have available, you can never go wrong with a hot dog at a baseball game. They are the traditional ballpark food, and they remain our bestseller. “MLB had nothing to do with the new lights. We found that out late in the game in April. The city had an inspection done immediately, and it was deemed the lights needed to come down for safety reasons.

This was a project that was not planned or mandated by MLB. It was done under duress in many ways. But these new lights are MLB standards for brightness.

“We also installed a padded outfield wall since last year, which we’ve never had here. It has always been an old, rickety wooden plank wall. The fence is in the exact same position as it had been, so the dimensions are the same as they have been.”

In the concourse, Swartz took time to unveil his concession offerings as he began his third season with the team. A Lewisburg native, he has been involved with food and beverage operations at various ballparks across the country since 2015.

“Prior to coming to Williamsport, I had been working in Durham, North Carolina.

I had done an internship with the Cutters in 2013, and Gabe and I had kept in touch with one another. Gabe offered me a chance to come to Williamsport and work for the Crosscutters, and it is nice to be home.
