An album of twenty pencil drawings all being carefully executed topographical and historical views of the town of Hobart and its environs between 1856 and 1859
The subjects are:- Mount Wellington; Hummock Hills, Panshanger; Ben Lomond and the Lake River from Richmond Hill; Lake River and Western Tier from Richmond Hill; Panshanger; Government House, Hobart; Kangaroo Point; Derwent River. and Government House; Orphan School, Hobart; View from New Norfolk; Perth Bridge, Tasmania; Perth Bridge, 1859; Trinity Church, Cressey; Killymoon and St Patrick's Head; Ben Lomond; Corra Linn Bridge, Tasmania; Willows at Panshanger; Longford and the Western Tier; Panshanger.
All the drawings measure approximately 22 x 30 cm except number nineteen, a panorama which measures 21 x 67 cm.
The cover boards are broken and some pages are stained on their margins. The drawings for the most part are in good condition.
