The lots are at the buyer's risk from the fall of the hammer and are to be taken away at the buyer's expense , in default of which the Auctioneers will not hold themselves responsible; if the same are lost , stolen , damaged , or otherwise destroyed , but they will be left al the sole risk of the purchaser. If the lots are not cleared or paid for, they may then be sold immediately either publicly or by private treaty , without any notice being given to the defaulter
7. Upon failure of the purchaser to comply with any of the above conditions the money deposited in part payments shall be forfeited, and the defaulter shall make good any loss arising from the resale , together with the charges and expenses in respect of both sales.
8. No goods are to be removed while selling is in progress. Receipted invoices must be produced prior to delivery of any lot. The Auctioneers reserve the right to request identification in the case of any purchaser not known to the Auctioneer who pays by cheque. Charging to credit cards will not be accepted as a means of payment.
"No person being the purchaser of any item falling within the provisions of the Antiquities Act 1915 or the Arms Act 1958 shall be entit led lo take possession of such item or to demand possession thereof from the Autioneer unless and until such person produces to the Auctioneer a licence persuant to the appropriate one of the two Acts referred to above."
Insurance:-
All lots purchased are at the risk of the purchaser from the fall of the hammer. Insurance can be arranged with the Sun Alliance & London Insurance Group on an All Risks" basis for a premium of 1%
Instruction to Bid:-
Instructions to bid at sale are accepted by Peter Webb Galleries and carried out free of charge Lots will be bought as favourably as is allowed by the bidding in the saleroom and any reserves imposed
Inspections:-
Inspections are.made and advice given concerning the sale of Antiques and Works of Art free of charge in Auckland. and for a reasonable fee elsewhere
Valuations:-
Valuations for insurance , probate or family division are undertaken on either a quotation basis or a s mall percentage plus travelling expenses The chaTge is remitted on all properly valued that is sold through Peter Webb Galleries Lid. within a reasonable time.
