You can also view your bill online through Online Academic Resources via your MySaints account. The Spring 2013 semester bill due date is December 14th. MBTA Spring 2013 Semester Pass As an Emmanuel College student, you receive an 11 percent discount when you purchase a semester Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) pass. The semester pass covers February 1st through May 31st and is non-refundable. For information regarding routes, schedules and fees, please visit www.mbta.com. The application is available under the “Tuition & Aid” section of the Emmanuel website. The deadline to submit the form to our office is January 4, 2013.
Spring 2013 Parking Passes Parking at the College is extremely limited. Only commuter students without access to public transportation will be considered. To be considered for on-campus parking, you must submit a parking application, available in the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs (Administration Building, Room 334). Applications must be submitted each semester. Students approved for parking will be notified by the Office of the Vice President. Parking passes will be available in the OSFS once your account is paid in full. The cost of a parking pass for a part-time student is $225 and $375 for full-time students.
Commuter Meal Plans Commuter students have the option of purchasing one of two meal plans: a 5-meals per week plan for $485 or a 8-meals per week plan for $775. Commuter students interested in purchasing a meal plan should contact our office at financialservices@emmanuel.edu or 617-735-9938. In addition to the commuter meal plan options, students living in Rogers Hall or City View have the option of purchasing the residential meal plan (15 meals per week and $95 flex dollars) for $2,590. To purchase a commuter meal plan or a residential meal plan, please contact Residence Life at 617-735-9746.
Refunds If you have a credit on your account after paying your spring bill, you may reduce your or your parent’s loan amount by the amount of your credit or you may request a refund through Online Academic Resources via MySaints, on the Emmanuel website, or in the OSFS. Students who request their refund through Online Academic Resources can request to have the funds directly deposited into their bank account. Because financial aid is disbursed after the add/drop period, most refunds are not available until mid-March for the spring semester. However, some funds, such as state grants, are generally not disbursed until after March. Please plan accordingly if you use your refund to purchase books or pay for off-campus expenses. Applying for Financial Aid for 2013-2014 To apply for need-based financial aid for the 2013-2014 academic year, you must complete the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. The 2013-2014 FAFSA is available after January 1, 2013. To complete the FAFSA online, a PIN is required for both the student and parent. To obtain a PIN, please visit pin.ed.gov.
We strongly encourage you to apply by the priority filing date of March 1st, so that you may be considered for all sources of financial aid.
When completing the FAFSA, we encourage you and your parents to use the FAFSA’s IRS Data Retrieval Tool which allows you to transfer 2012 tax information into the FAFSA. The tool is available two weeks after you electronically file your taxes or six to eight weeks after you file your taxes via a paper application. If you do not use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool, you may need to submit IRS Tax Return Transcripts to our office and this may delay your aid application.

Emmanuel College Endowed Scholarships Students interested in receiving additional aid for 2013-2014 may apply for Emmanuel College Endowed Scholarships, which are funded by alumni and friends of the College based on criteria established by the donor. Most students are eligible to apply. To review scholarship listings, please visit the “Student Financial Services” section of MySaints. Scholarship applications must be submitted to the OSFS by March 1, 2013. The OSFS will notify students of endowed scholarship decisions in June. Private Scholarships In addition to Endowed Scholarship opportunities, students may apply for private scholarships. For your convenience, the OSFS has compiled a list of some private scholarship opportunities so you can begin your search. These scholarship opportunities can be viewed under the “Student Financial Services” page of MySaints.

Residence Assistant (RA) Scholarships Sophomores and juniors can apply with the Office of Residence Life to be an RA. The scholarship is 75% off standard room and board charges for the first year of service and 100% thereafter. RA applications are available through the Office of Residence Life and the Residence Life & Housing page of MySaints. Applications are due by January 23rd. Students are notified of the decisions in February. Federal Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant Student may be eligible for federal gift aid of $4,000 awarded each year to undergraduate students intending to teach full time for at least four years: as a highly qualified teacher; at a school or educational service agency (ESA) servicing low-income students and in a high-need field.
