St. Ambrose Family Shelter www.ccab.org/stambrose St. Ambrose Family Shelter, a residential services site of Catholic Charities, is a homeless shelter located in the Field's Corner section of Dorchester. Our goal is to provide shelter, support and hope for homeless families in transition. Rosie’s Place www.rosies.org Since 1974 poor and homeless women have found an oasis of hope and nourishment at Rosie’s Place. The mission of Rosie’s Place is to help women maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives. Pine Street Inn www.pinestreetinn.org Pine Street Inn is a not-for-profit organization committed to men, women and children in need of shelter, sustenance, and the basic moral and material supports necessary to lead a dignified and stable life. It is the mission of the inn, in all its programs, to be a community of respect and hope for each guest it serves; to be a resource through which neighbors and friends can help to meet the basic needs of others; and to serve as a national leader in the fight to end homelessness. Sociedad Latina http://www.sociedadlatina.org Since 1968, Sociedad Latina has been working in partnership with Latino youth to cultivate the next generation of leaders. With the support of families and the broader community, Sociedad Latina fulfills its critical mission by providing a broad array of programs that promote community leadership, civic engagement, meaningful employment, educational attainment, cultural identity and pride, and the continuation of traditions. Beacon Academy http://www.beaconacademy.org Beacon Academy is a 14-month prep school for high school, the only one of its kind in the nation, which prepares Boston area students for the challenges and opportunities of independent and competitive public exam high schools. Students who have successfully completed 8th grade may apply for this extra year of rigorous academics, social, and cultural experiences. Marian Manor www.marianmanor.org Founded in 1954, Marian Manor is a non-profit long term care facility served by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm. Located in South Boston's historic Dorchester Heights area, the Manor offers 282 residents skilled care, and 11 residents are served in its residential care section. Marian Manor residents are encouraged to maintain a life of wholeness. The facility strives to provide for the physical, spiritual, psychosocial, intellectual and recreational needs of the residents in a homelike environment, which respects their individuality.
