Our small class sizes allow for greater interaction among students and professors. With an average class size of 15 students, you have the ability to engage in lively classroom discussions, to share your unique experiences and exchange views and clinical knowledge. Our BSN program is dedicated to more than just providing you with a degree – it is about fostering collaborative professional relationships that further enhance learning for all.

Our Boston campus is located in the heart of the Longwood Medical and Academic Area, adjacent to some of the most respected health care institutions in the nation. Emmanuel’s proximity to these health care institutions has allowed the College to form strategic partnerships, including onsite classes with employers such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Caritas Christi Health Care System.

Our classes meet every other week, enabling you to fit academics into your professional and personal schedules. All modified accelerated courses include a major element of independent study. Nursing classes meet six times during a semester and are offered at Emmanuel’s easy-toreach Boston and Woburn campuses. Most students complete the degree program in two to three years. We have rolling admissions and enrollment opportunities multiple times per year, which help to accelerate the completion of your degree. You can also set your own pace with flexible program scheduling.

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Emmanuel College will open you to many new horizons in the field of nursing. We recognize that in order for you to take the next step in your nursing career, you need a curriculum specifically developed to meet your range of learning needs. We will provide you with an individualized plan of study that will prepare you for whatever academic and professional success is next for you.

By choosing Emmanuel College, you will gain knowledge and expertise in health promotion and public health nursing.

You will develop ideas to improve the care you deliver to patients, assume a leadership role and become a life-long nursing scholar. The BSN program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

This program is open to Registered Nurses only. You must be a licensed RN or be eligible for licensure to enter the program.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING DEGREE REQUIREMENTS The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) requires the completion of 128 credits.

Students must complete a minimum of 48 credits at Emmanuel College. Upon completion of the Concepts of Professional Practice course, 36 nursing credits will be transferred from the student’s Associate’s Degree or Diploma program.

The curriculum reflects prerequisites, general education and nursing courses. The organizing foundational components of the nursing program – beliefs, professional role, knowing and caring – are integral to the discipline and profession of nursing.

Emphasis on these components is woven into every nursing course.

A PERSONAL APPROACH TO DEGREE PLANNING Integral to an Emmanuel College education is our advising program. Dr. Judith Marley Emmanuel College works in partnership with a number of other accredited educational institutions. Educational mobility agreements exist with 10 associate degree and diploma programs to assist RNs with entrance into our program.
