Midnight Shadow When it comes to artistic design, the Midnight Shadow is unique and distinctive with a chic ultra-modern look, one that can be easily achieved with Weathertex cladding. A Midnight Shadow design scheme bears a strong resemblance to a livable, modern art gallery. The exteriors of this ultra-cool style are flawlessly squared, geometric in proportion and are often of a sleek, dark hue. Both inside and out, Midnight Shadow is a strong study in clean, angular lines and timeless refinement. In many ways, Weathertex products are “the paint on the canvas” needed when creating the Midnight Shadow design style; making for a masterwork of modern design. Use primed Architectural Panels or Weatherboards to achieve this look or stain our Natural range in a “char-esque” colour.

We have been using Weathertex products for over ten years. What a fantastic, innovative company. Timeless simplicity in design underwritten by a strong quality guarantee keeps us coming back for more. Love the look and love the install.

Go Natural The very greenest of green designs, the Go Natural architectural style demands only the purest and most sustainable of materials. Therefore, it only makes sense that Weathertex has claimed a critical place in many Go Natural designs. A Go Natural design trend, as its name suggests, is a design overflowing with essential, all-natural materials. Pure warm woods can be found everywhere; from the walls to the floors, the furnishings to the décor and often with various natural stone finishes. Yet do not mistake this design for a basic structure because these homes can also be sprawling and wide-scale. Great design is never too garish or ornate, most literally sticking to its roots in terms of its fresh and understated look. Using only nature’s most sustainable materials, the Weathertex Natural range is, in all ways, a natural fit for the ultimate, green Go Natural design scheme. Available in both architectural panels and weatherboards, Weathertex Natural has the raw strength and provincial beauty of aged timber which cannot be denied. Yet this pure, natureborn material also ranks amongst the most healthy and sustainable cladding choice. Like all Weathertex products, the Natural range has no formaldehydes and is the only timber product in the market that comes with a 10 year warranty against rotting, cracking or splitting. Weathertex Natural can be left unfinished to silver off over time in direct sunlight or, alternatively, you can stain it to create the perfect result. So if you’re going to Go Natural, Go Weathertex! The Hamptons The Hamptons home style draws its influence from the finer homes of Long Island, New York and Weathertex fine design products are the perfect match. A Hamptons home bears the likeness of a large holiday home, a house brimming with freshness and effusive with light, overflowing with the sweet essence of summertime living. In this distinctly elegant American home style (a style that is being adapted for Australian living) an elegant, yet relaxing, tropical look is achieved with spacious dimensions, nautical décor and natural materials. With its seamless, distinguished aesthetic and all-natural materials, the Weathertex weatherboards are a perfect fit for a Hamptons design trend. ‘Smooth’ is the first adjective that most would apply to the Hamptons home design style; so it makes perfect sense that Weathertex Smooth weatherboard profiles are a highly influential component to any Hamptons design. Weathertex are extremely proud of our stellar selection of strong, sustainable products that cannot be replicated. These are all-natural, green products, produced without dangerous chemicals or silica.

Weathertex is an Australian company producing high quality products that show both innovation and sustainability. They were voted as the most trusted building brand by Architecture & Design because they deliver quality products at an affordable price, while demonstrating genuine sensitivity towards their impact on the environment.

Simple Symmetry The perfection of symmetry is captured to glorious effect in the Simple Symmetry building style; a geometrically-flawless display of design ingenuity that is always harmonious with quality and highly-sustainable building materials. As indicated by its stylish moniker, the Simple Symmetry building design just may be the most geometrically-flawless building trend available today. This style rises from its foundations in an artistic flourish of square and rectangular shapes. Simple Symmetry is ideal for 2-storey townhouse and apartment project developments due to its ease of installation and impactful design presence. All primed and natural ranges have a consistent 9.5mm product thickness with matching accessories, making it easier to achieve your ultimate unique symmetrical design. Weathertex embodies the very definition of symmetry!

As an ex tradesman, I simply love the ease of use and the feel of the quality timber based Weathertex range. But now as a construction company manager, we can further appreciate the versatility, the great look and cost savings as well. Weathertex has certainly come of age and offer an excellent product range.

Interiors When one thinks of residential and commercial interiors, we generally conjure images of beautiful furnishings, arty home décor; lavish curtains and carpetings. Today’s design trends is all about texture so cladding is used more often on internal walls and ceilings. Although the concept of cladding is generally applied to home exteriors, Weathertex products are lightweight and versatile, making it easier to incorporate them internally. Weathertex turns the traditional concept of interiors inside out.

I have used Weathertex again and again while renovating houses and am yet to find a fault with either the product or their service. The finish that I achieve with their cladding is better than I’d hoped and living in a dry rural area, the fact that it doesn’t require immediate upkeep and is safe from termites is a real bonus. I also love that I can support an Australian business while doing what I love.

Sustainability Since 1964, Weathertex has been the preferred cladding solution of many builders, architects and designers all over the world, by offering a wide range of high quality timber cladding; including weatherboards, architectural panels and wall shingles. Massive investments have been made in Weathertex over many years in order to support production, improve painting facilities and introduce modern computerisation systems. 100% Australian family owned & operated and have consistently employed more than 100 local people for over 50 years. Weathertex only uses PEFC certified state forest or private hardwoods from controlled sources. The logs are chipped, pulped and steam pressed with 3% natural wax to make Australian, eco-friendly timber products that are completely natural, with no glues, resins, formaldehydes or silica. More than ever, consumers and specifiers want to rise above marketing ‘greenwash’ and are looking for transparency in their building products; whether it is to verify point of origin, understand environmental impacts, or because they want

to eliminate exposure to toxic ingredients. Weathertex provides their customers with third party product accreditations such as Global GreenTag certifications, Product Health Declarations (PhD), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)and the Living Future Institute’s Declare Label, which assists our customers to fully understand exactly what goes into our products. Weathertex ticks all the boxes; it has a better than zero carbon footprint and they are the first manufacturing company globally to achieve a Platinum GreenTag certification on their Natural range. Weathertex is also proud to have been voted Most Trusted Building Brand twice in a row in the Architecture & Design’s biennial ‘Trusted Australian Construction Industry Brands’ surveys.

Amazing consumer trust and commitment to quality and sustainability. These guys are a highly ethical company that are fast becoming recognised in Australia as well as around the world.

Prefab Prefab houses are back in style and more stylish than ever! Modern prefab homes are large in scale and huge on style. Although these amazing structures still can be built in a matter of days, they can also have the look and scale of any attractive, comfortably livable home. Boasting rich, sustainable materials that will render these perfect prefab homes built to last. Weathertex products line the walls of today’s prefab homes because of their sustainability, lightweight ease of handling, simple installation and sleek style. Although these homes are built quickly and with relative ease, they bear the strong, sturdy, long lasting distinction of a home sure to stand tall. Building on the rich, classic tradition of prefabricated housing (with some of the first prefab houses tracing their history to England in the 1600s), they are efficiently formed from pure, sustainable timber and woods that is respectfully sourced from nature, coming together to form a portrait of green buildings.

Tiny House Movement. Moving towards a more sustainable and economical future. What is small in size and proportion but huge in terms of environmental impact, affordability, and countless other benefits? This is no riddle; this is a massive movement in smaller scale residential living. Although frequently less than 400 square feet in size, tiny houses are becoming the next big thing on the Australian housing market.

Design Trends 2020

Tiny houses leave behind a barely discernible carbon footprint. For while the average home produces 28,000 pounds of CO2 on an annual basis, the typical tiny home generates only 2,000 pounds of CO2 a year. Tiny homes are veritable storehouses of sustainable energy, including fully sustainable heat, power and ventilation sources such as solar panels. Many people crave the freedom to live where and how they choose; and, for that matter, to move about freely as they enjoy the ultimate in independent living. Due to their size, small homes can be placed onto trucks and transported anywhere. Naturally, one can only ‘live free’ if they are free of debt and mortgage restraints; a goal that can be attained with the purchase of a tiny home.

HANGAN TINY HOMES Weathergroove 150 Natural

Tiny Homes are relatively lower in costs than a traditional home and can be custom built to meet individual needs. A Tiny house can provide a low-cost living option in places where the housing market is too great. Limited need for council approvals. Whenever one ventures to build a home, they of course must consult the related codes and council regulations, along with national and state laws, regarding their project. On a general basis, however, the building of tiny homes is not heavily regulated through local councils, and even might be considered comparable to caravans in many regions. Tiny homes may very well be the homes of the future; leaving a big, beautiful and sustainable imprint on Australia’s built environment. BAXTER HOMES Weathergroove 150 Woodsman 33
