A BIG THANK YOU For Visiting Wincanton Racecourse Today
OUR NEXT MEETING IS ON SATURDAY 6 NOVEMBER 2021 1
WELCOME
How wonderful it is to be able to write this welcome knowing that you will be reading it in person, on course at Wincanton. To say that the last eighteen months has been a challenge to us all would be an understatement. The global pandemic impacted every area of society and the racing industry was no different in that regard. To be able to return to race meetings en masse is a real tonic for us all. During the difficult times we have all faced, demand for Racing Welfare’s services rose dramatically and we continue to see the impact of the pandemic across racing’s workforce. Events such as today’s form a crucial part of our fundraising, and we are incredibly grateful to Fitzdares for their very generous sponsorship of this meeting as well as to all the individual race sponsors across today’s card. Finally, good luck to all the intrepid riders who are taking part in this morning’s charity race. Thank you for taking on this challenge to raise much needed funds for Racing Welfare, you should be very proud of your achievement. Enjoy every furlong! William Barlow CHAIRMAN Racing Welfare

PLAY SMARTER
A few with chances, but TRANSLINK’s form is on an upward curve and he remains at the right end of the handicap too so he is taken to complete his hat-trick for a yard among the winners. Neverbeen To Paris arrives in decent nick and is feared most off a much reduced mark, although Seaborough is another who is weighted to have a say despite being a long time without a win.

A winner of a Taunton novice in April, MON FRERE failed to see his race out when third at Warwick (21f) in the spring. Back down in trip for his return, he looks to have been found a good opportunity to regain the winning thread. Kalyptra rates the chief threat, ahead of hurdles-debutant Colonial Empire.

PLAY SMARTER
FAMOSO is no star, but his runner-up effort at Chepstow back in April suggested he’s on the right track and Paul Nicholls’ charge gets the vote to make a winning handicap debut having had a wind operation in the interim. Blumen Glory possibly failed to stay the distance at Ffos Las 5 months ago so he’s feared most significantly back down in trip, ahead of First Quest and Leroy Leroy.
