RACE DESCRIPTION This two miles, three and a half furlongs steeple chase is another for novices’. It is restricted to horses aged four-years-old and upwards which have not previously won more than two steeple chases. Initially, the weights are set according to sex with fillies and mares carrying 7lb less than their male rivals before previous steeple chase winners are allocated a 7lb penalty for each race won.
