A WALK IN MEMORY. A JOURNEY FOR A CAUSE. From 19–27 September, racing commentator John Hunt, his daughter Amy and her fiancé Gareth will take on a 120-mile walk from Bushey to Bournemouth to raise funds and awareness for The Hunt Family Fund. The Fund was created by John and Amy following the devastating loss of Carol, Louise and Hannah Hunt in July 2024. From unimaginable grief, they wanted to create something positive that celebrated their lives and supported causes close to their hearts. Working with the Hertfordshire Community Foundation, the Fund supports a range of causes including tackling male violence against women, empowering women, animal welfare, vision loss and supporting the elderly.

2025-2026 Leading Trainer: Dan Skelton FINAL STANDINGS AFTER 3RD JUNE 2026

Race preview from Weatherbys Just the four go to post for this afternoon’s feature, Paul Ferguson’s Jumpers To Follow Handicap Chase, a 0-140 contest staged over an extended 3m1f. Local trainer Dan Skelton took this prize in 2024 with Get Up Mush and of his three initial entries, he relies on Snipe, who represents Foxtrot Racing. The nineyear-old returned from his summer break at Worcester recently and should strip fitter for the outing. A four-time chase winner, his last handicap success came at Aintree on Boxing Day in 2023, with his two more recent victories – secured in January and March of this year – achieved in hunters’ chase company. The weights are headed by Ki Woo, who has been absent since finishing runnerup in the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter. A winner at Haydock in March and Cartmel in May, he stays very well and enjoys relatively decent ground. Still quite lightly raced over fences, the sixyear-old represents the training duo of Oliver Greenall & Josh Guerierro, the pair successful last week with Cawthorne Cracker at Kelso. Newly appointed (for this season) stable-jockey, Jack Tudor takes the ride. WEATHERBYS RACE PREVIEW
That leaves Charlie Maggs to ride Fever Dream for Christian Williams. The eightyear-old was a winner here in March, on good ground over 3m, before weakening in the Highland National at Perth. 7lb higher than when successful at this track, he remains open to further improvement and looked quite progressive around that time, having run well when runner-up at Kempton the time before. Conditions look suitable (three chase wins all came on good ground and won over hurdles at Perth on good-to-firm), although the Williams stable has yet to really get going for the season, with the trainer’s last winner coming in June.
Jennie Candlish’s Dunkerque has been in fine form since switching to fences in May. The novice six-year-old completes the line-up. A winner of four of his six starts, he ran well against a promising sort at Perth last time, having won small field events at Southwell, Kelso, Newton Abbot and Stratford. Yet to race beyond 2m6½f, the trip is an unknown but he will relish the ground and is clearly in great form at present. Expect the grey to be ridden with patience.

TIMEFORM VIEW Has been on a largely upward curve ever since switched to fences, winning 8-runner handicap chase at Cartmel over this trip in May before a fine second in valuable handicap at Uttoxeter.
