(IRE) -

TIMEFORM VIEW Tailed off in 2 bumpers last season. Has had a breathing operation since.

2022: (See Div 1)

Running for the first time since Gelding No 4. Running for the first time since Wind Surgery No 4, 9.

Stewards Note:

JET OF DREAMS: Following its run on 10/5/2023 it was reported that the horse hung left returning a shoe less.

LOOK OUT TO SEA: Following its run on 13/3/2023 it was reported that the horse hung left handed.

ROCKETTE: Following its run on 27/1/2023 it was reported that the horse hung left handed.

Probable S.P’s: 10-11 Designer Destiny (IRE), 13-8 Soldierofthestorm (IRE), 22-1 Jet of Dreams (IRE), 25-1 Indelible Spin (IRE), 33-1 Specialagent McGee (IRE), 66-1 Allez Allez Dancer (GB), 150-1 Jimmy Boum (FR), Rockette (IRE), 250-1 Look Out To Sea (GB)

A likely match between SOLDIEROFTHESTORM and Designer Destiny. The former has shown plenty in a brace of bumpers 5 months apart and has the scope to do well over jumps, so he’s narrowly preferred to the latter, who has a long absence to overcome TIMEFORM

The vote goes to KANKIN, who did well under the circumstances when third in a C&D maiden recently and he can be expected to take a step forward now pitched into a handicap for the first time The hat-trick seeking William of York and Forget The Way, who shapes as though this stiffer test will be in his favour, rate the main dangers. Merveillo would be threat if able to get back on track but it’s a significant ‘if’.

RED DIRT ROAD: Following its run on 19/4/2023 it was reported that the horse hung right handed.

WISEGUY: Following its run on 12/11/2022 it was reported that the horse lost a shoe

Probable S.P’s: 7-4 Wiseguy (IRE), 7-1 Bertie Blue (GB), 15-2 I Spy A Diva (GB), 8-1 Abuffalosoldier (IRE), Restitution (FR), 10-1 Red Dirt Road (IRE), 12-1 Hauraki Gulf (GB), 20-1 Midnight Ginger (GB)

PLAY SMARTER

The unexposed WISEGUY put in a good shift when runner-up back from 11 months off at Cheltenham in November and, with the promise of better to come, he is taken to go one better here. Restitution’s latest effort at Wincanton represented a step back in the right direction and he could be the one for the forecast. Abuffalosoldier and Bertie Blue are others to consider

2022: NO CORRESPONDING RACE LAST YEAR

BREIZH ALKO: Following its run on 1/4/2023 it was reported that the horse ran flat.

Probable S.P’s: 7-2 Grillon De Monty (FR), 11-2 Imperial B G (IRE), 9-1 Sadler’s Bay (GB), 10-1 Enjoy Your Life (FR), Lunar Contact (IRE), 12-1 Barricane (GB), 14-1 Langley Hundred (IRE), Nickelsonthedime (IRE), 18-1 Jaytee (GB), 20-1 Gentleman Valley (FR), 25-1 Breizh Alko (FR), 33-1 State of Fame (IRE)

An open handicap but SADLER’S BAY ran well on his first try at this trip at Carlisle in March and promised a bit more still, with late errors holding him back. Therefore, his performance can be marked up and with a good-value conditional now taking over in the saddle, he’s fancied to confirm the promise of that run. Imperial B G still looked a bit raw when runner-up at Haydock and can improve again when the penny drops, with last-time-out scorer Grillon de Monty completing the shortlist.
