Race Description

This is a three mile, two and a half furlongs handicap steeple chase for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 0 to 115. To qualify for a handicap rating horses must have won a race, been placed twice or raced at least three times in order for the handicapper to gauge the level of form shown. This rating then dictates the weight to be carried in a handicap. In simple terms a horse rated 115 in this particular race would be required to carry 5lb more than a rival rated 110.

PLAY SMARTER

Based on recent evidence, SOME DETAIL, Flying Verse and Trixster are the most likely candidates. The hat-trick seeking Flying Verse is the obvious starting point and he is greatly respected but Some Detail is now just 2lb higher than for his latest success here in February and is appealing on the back of a creditable effort in a stronger race than this at Exeter. Trixster will find this easier than the Cheltenham handicap he contested last time and he is capable of a very bold show.
