WELCOME TO STRATFORD RACES A very warm welcome to everyone joining us today for National Racehorse Week We are delighted to have you with us and hope you enjoy a fantastic evening of racing, both on and off the track. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the owners who support our sport. Your passion, commitment and investment make days like today possible, and we are hugely grateful for your continued support. We would also like to recognise the tremendous work of our dedicated groundstaff. Their hard work, care and attention behind the scenes ensure that our horses are able to perform at their very best. Their contribution is an essential part of racing and deserves our appreciation. As we celebrate National Racehorse Week, it is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the incredible athletes at the heart of our sport and the many people who work tirelessly to care for them. From the stable staff and groundstaff to trainers, owners, jockeys and everyone behind the scenes, racing is built on a shared commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of the racehorse. Everyone here at Stratford Racecourse is committed to making sure you have a fantastic day with us. If you have any suggestions, questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch. GUIDE TO THE RACECOURSE ABANDONMENT REFUND In the event of racing being abandoned before the first race has been run, NO refunds will be made on the day, but racegoers should retain all badges/tickets & return these by post to the racecourse for a refund (or replacement badges for another meeting if preferred). Once the first race has been run, there will be no refunds. ADMISSION RIGHTS The Racecourse Executive reserves the right to refuse admission or to expel, without prior notice, any racegoer who, in the opinion if the Racecourse Executive, behaves or is likely to behave in an unruly or unacceptable manner. Examples of unruly or unacceptable behaviour include violent or abusive conduct, drunkenness, singing or shouting and intimidation of other racegoers. This list is not exhaustive. The Management does not accept liability for loss or damage to visitors’ effects, vehicles or other property whilst on these premises. UNAUTHORISED BOOKMAKING It is a condition of entry to this racecourse that only individuals in possession of a valid betting badge and occupying an authorised pitch are entitled to lay bets on the course of their business. Any individual found contravening these conditions will be evicted. RADIOS AND MOBILE TELEPHONES The use of all types of communication equipment is strictly controlled at all racecourses. Members of the public may not use two-way radios, scanning receivers etc., for any purpose at the racecourse. Mobile telephones may not be used in or near any designated betting area, or for off-course betting purposes. Further details are available from the racecourse office. HORSE WELFARE “Racing’s top priority is the safety and welfare of horse and rider”. Like most sports racing carries risks, however, we work to make sure that no death or injury occurs, which could have been prevented. Here at Stratford Racecourse we are committed to minimising risks, dealing quickly and humanely with injuries, and maintaining the highest possible quality of life for the animals in our care. At every meeting we have two specially qualified Equine Vets appointed to look after the welfare of all horses in action. There is also a British Horseracing Authority Vet in attendance. During the race two vets follow the action from the centre of the course and can attend to a horse in the same response time as the Paramedic Teams responsible for treating the injured jockeys. It is standard policy that in the event of a horse requiring veterinary treatment whilst on site, screens will be erected round the horse. It is designed to afford the vet and the patient some privacy. Please do not assume the worst.

EMERGENCY EVACUATION In the event of an emergency all persons on the racecourse will be alerted by the following message over the public address system. This is an emergency announcement. Due to circumstances beyond our control, racing has been temporarily suspended. Would all patrons please evacuate ALL buildings and make your way across the racetrack to the Red post marker in the Centre of the Course. Police and Racecourse Officials will assist and direct you. Please do not go to any Car Park until you are cleared to do so, because you may hamper the movement of emergency vehicles. The message will then be repeated. BROKEN GLASSES AND BOTTLES Broken glasses and bottles are dangerous. In the interests of safety and the comfort of others please do not carry drinks on to the steppings of the stand, or the areas adjacent to the parade ring or unsaddling enclosure.
FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY We would ask all racegoers to refrain from using flash photography whilst on course. NOTICES Weights, Pedigrees, Trainers’ Names, Descriptions, Performances and Values of races have been added for the convenience of the Public, but are subject to alteration. All horses must parade in the Parade Ring except by permission of the Stewards, but in all cases must pass through the Ring on the way to the Post. The Management reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone and to remove any person from the Course without assigning a reason for so doing and do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to persons or their property. LITTER BINS Please help us to keep Stratford clean and tidy by using the litter bins in all enclosures. BETTING WITH THE BOOKMAKERS Racegoers are advised that bookmakers are not obliged to pay until the ‘Weighed in’ is announced, nor to remain on the course more than 10 minutes after that announcement. CHECK YOUR TICKETS Customers of the Boards and Rails bookmakers should check their itemised tickets immediately on receipt, as mistakes cannot be rectified after the “off”. Customers are reminded to retain all betting tickets until after the weigh-in, as immediate payment will be made only on production of the original ticket. HOW TO BET WITH A BOOKMAKER 1.
Pick your Racehorse, look around for the best odds on course, try to proffer the correct stake money for your wager.
2.
Ask the Bookmaker for your bet, name the horse, (the bookmaker won’t necessarily know it’s number). Listen to the bookmaker repeat your bet to his clerk, correct bookmaker if he makes a mistake and receive your Betting Ticket as a receipt for your bet.
3.
Should your horse happen to win, present your betting ticket to the bookmaker, check your winnings.
4.
Check with the bookmaker when placing a bet, the Place Terms. Place Betting, not all on course bookmakers accept each way bets, ie. for a win or a place.
5.
In the unlikely event of a dispute after adhering to this procedure, the bookmaker will tell the punter to approach the Ring Official, who will advise the racegoer as to his rights.
6.
Some course bookmakers have minimum stakes. e.g. £1, £5 or £10 but small backers are catered for in the racecourse Betting Shops.
EACH WAY BETTING In conjunction with The RCA, the bookmakers have introduced standard each-way terms. Bookmakers will provide these terms, or better, when offering each-way betting. •
Fewer than 3 runners - all on to win
•
3 or 4 runners – 1/5 odds a place 1,2
•
5 – 7 runners (inclusive) – 1/4 odds a place 1,2
•
8 or more runners – 1/5 odds a place 1,2,3
•
Handicaps with 12 to 15 runners (inclusive) – 1/4 odds a place 1,2,3
•
Handicaps with 16 to 21 runners (inclusive) – 1/5 odds a place 1,2,3,4
•
Handicaps with 22 or more runners – 1/4 odds a place 1,2,3,4
All bookmakers must display on their boards whether they are betting each way or to win only.
You must be 18 or over to place a bet You may be asked to provide proof of your age when placing a bet If you cannot produce this your bet will not be accepted 11

Stratford Racing Club The Bardman
One Share Available This four-year-old joined CLR in June 2025 and is an exciting prospect with impeccable breeding that combines sire Maxios out of Delta Forty. His bloodline therefore has proven stamina and an ideal blend for success as a jumper. He has already shown plenty of scope at home where he has a good appetite for work. After being given time to mature – he hasn’t stopped growing since arriving at Hull Farm – his first campaign will take the traditional route into novice hurdling. One share remains and anyone interested in joining the Stratford Racing Club team and being part of The Bardman’s promising future should email info@charlielongsdonracing.com
Stratford Racing Club Donegal After a flat career in France, four-year-old Donegal is now being aimed at the novice hurdle division where his turn of speed and slick jumping sets him out as one to watch. One run away from a handicap mark, the Stratford Racecourse 2 syndicate members are set to enjoy an exciting campaign with a powerful horse that has already shown plenty of promise on the racecourse. After arriving at Hull Farm in October 2025 his potential was obvious and when Donegal two months later appeared on a track for the first time in a juvenile hurdle at Doncaster he was an immediate eye-catcher, finishing a neck second with the front pair a long way clear of the rest. He has just returned after a break during the spring and summer he is set to enjoy a busy 2026/27 campaign.
Bowmore Bowmore is a class act who came into Stratford Racing Club ownership shortly after joining Charlie from Ireland in February 2025. Now aged eight, the promise of his early years is being delivered and as a result his owners had the thrill of being part of the Cheltenham and Aintree Festivals during 2026. The CLR team spent Bowmore’s early time in the yard ensuring he was 100%, before his first run in new ownership brought an exciting secondplaced finish at Market Rasen. Bowmore went one better next time out at Newbury and after impressing during his away days at the big Spring Festivals, he then proved his liking for good ground by finishing a close third at Uttoxeter in June. Following a Summer break Charlie is considering a 2026/27 campaign which reverts to chasing, a discipline in which he showed loads of potential as a youngster in Ireland.
