RACE SUMMARY:
LATENIGHTFUMBLE is a half-sister to Latenightpass and she also looks to have a bright future in this sphere based on her recent success at Cheltenham. She’s fancied to uphold the form from that day with Go Go Geronimo, with Irish-raider Its On The Line appealing as the main threat to the selection.

A small but select field draws together many of the leading Novices of this season in what looks sure to be hotly contested affair. Blazing Tom has experience on his side and is trying for his 11th consecutive win. Equally though he is verging on the veteran side and others appear to have more scope. Go Go Geronimo, a bold jumping front runner, belied his odds at Cheltenham last time out, but the 3m 4 furlongs distance of tonight’s contest may not be in his favour. David Kemp has a fantastic record at this fixture. His representative here, Rebel Dawn Rising, disappointed last time out however and may prefer a softer surface. The same may apply to the never flashy Getting Closer and interesting Irish Irish contender Its on the Line (crack Irish amateur Patrick Mullins takes the ride). Preference therefore is for the progressive mare Latenightfumble who won a shade cosily at Cheltenham last time out - in notably fast time. That was over three and a quarter miles and she gave every indication there that tonight’s longer trip might bring about further improvement. Partnered by Champion rider Gina Andrews tonight she is also in receipt of a handy 7lb sex allowance .
