Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.

Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.

AKIRRA showed much-improved form with his debut run behind him when edged out close home at Windsor 25 days ago, an effort backed up by the timefigure and he could well be the way to go with the prospect of more to come. Schrodinger’s Cat is proving expensive to follow but undoubtedly has the form to play a lead role. Green Dame and newcomer Smiley Face are others worth a second look.

PLAY SMARTER

Dual C&DwinnerGOOD EARTH finds himselfinthe lowest grade he’s contested forawhile andwith plenty of pace to aim at, he may be able to resume winning ways if getting the breaks from stall 1. Four Adaay snapped a long losing streak at Ffos Las two weeks ago and, as the winner of this race off 4lb higher last year, remains well treated on her best form, while Rebel Path wasn’t seen to best effect when fifth at Newmarket last time and could be worth another chance from a handy draw

NATIVEAMERICAN, a useful performerin Group companyinthe Middle East earlierthisyear, has less to prove than most having bounced back to form when third at Epsom last time. He’s ground-versatile and is preferred to Blue For You, who could be interesting back in calmer waters, and Crimson Spirit who was only just behind NativeAmerican at Epsom despite a slow start. Ofthe rest, Physique could well bounce back on first start for a yard who went close with a stable-switcher last week.

PLAY SMARTER

A competitive race forthe grade. PURPLE RAINBOW held an Oaks entry earlierthis season and while 7f may be short of her ideal, she could yet be able to defy this sort of mark following her best effort in handicaps in a deeper race at York last month. She’s narrowly preferred to hat-trick seeking Tropical Heat who may continue her progression, while Dancing Colours chased home some useful sorts in novices and could be interesting on handicap/turfdebut,with Sunlit Uplands also respected.
