3. Timeform view and TFR rating
Look out for the summary of leading course trainers before each race
Listen out for any jockeys who are having a successful day.

Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.
‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.
‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.
Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.
Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

DECLARED RUNNERS 9
2023: LIBRATIGER 4 9 4 Hollie Doyle 7-4 (Ed Walker) 7 ran Tongue Strap worn by No 3, 8. Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn by No 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9.
Stewards Note:
ALLIGATOR ALLEY: Following its run on 5/7/2024 it was reported that the horse was slowly away.
Probable S.P’s: 9-2 Lil Guff (GB), 5-1 Connie’s Rose (GB), 6-1 Jenever (GB), 13-2 Alligator Alley (GB), 8-1 Glamorous Breeze (GB), 9-1 Spring Bloom (GB), Baileys Polka Dot (FR), 20-1 Dubai Station (GB), 22-1 Phoenix Star (IRE)
LIL GUFF has tested the patience of punters this year but she lurks on a good mark and from a handy stall with Oisin Murphy back in the saddle, there’s definitely cause for optimism. Connie’s Rose has thrived upon the application of cheekpieces and is a big threat, along with Alligator Alley.

Martin Densham was a most popular fixture at Sandown Park for more than 30 years. His father, Pat, founded the family Bookmakers firm of SUNDERLANDS in the mid-1940s Martin, for over 30 years, had been a leading member of the Charity Guild of the Nineteen Lubricators. The winning connections of the Martin Densham & Peter Deal Memorial race will receive a perpetual trophy commissioned by the Guild of a solid silver sculpture of a Sunderland Flying Boat, an aircraft flown by Pat Densham during the Second World War, and the inspiration for the business name of Sunderlands Bookmakers.
Peter was a successful racehorse owner with many winners over his nearly 50 years of ownership, to include Make a Stand winning the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham and Blowing Wind the Imperial Cup here at Sandown. Peter was on the Board of URL and then became Chairman of the Raceday Committee at Sandown - a racetrack he loved. Peter was a member of The Guild of the Nineteen Lubricators, along with Martin Densham, whose memory we also celebrate today.
Two great and good men taken from us too soon but who we will always remember with love and the shared laughter.

Charlie Appleby continues to saddle plenty of winning debutants and Justify colt RULING COURT is the standout having fetched €2,300,000 at the Arqana May Breeze-Ups. Best Adventure stepped up on his debut when second at Lingfield and sets the standard, while Pantile Warrior offered something to work on when sixth in what looked a decent C&D maiden.

City Of Troy (Justify) added his name to the small but select group of horses to have won the Gr.1 Derby and Gr.1 Eclipse Stakes in the same season at Sandown yesterday, digging deep in the closing stages to beat fellow Irish raider Al Riffa (Wootton Bassett) by a length in taxing conditions.
With Jayarebe (Zoffany) and Stay Alert (Fastnet Rock) scratched from the race due to the soft ground, only six runners went to post for the 1m2f inter-generational clash. The nondeclaration of high-class older horse White Birch (Ulysses) had already robbed the race of much of its lustre, leaving little market opposition to last year’s Champion European Two-YearOld colt.
Any thoughts that this would be a procession for the Aidan O’Brien-trained three-year-old were quickly dashed, however. Following an even break, the favourite’s stable companion Hans

PLAY SMARTER
Lots of potential on show but Andrew Balding’s Kingman filly FLAMING STONE created an excellent impression when going in at Newbury and is fancied to take this step up in class in her stride with that form having been franked. Alla Stella is another with better days ahead of her and heads the list of dangers, with Love Talk another in the picture now she steps up to 7f Santa Savana and The Terminus complete the shortlist.

At Sandown Park Racecourse we believe racing should be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. And one thing is certainly true, the more relaxed and comfortable we feel, the more likely we are to have a great time. So that’s why we’ve created one very simple piece of guidance, to come “dressed to feel your best”.
Whatever your tastes, the most important thing when choosing your outfit is, of course, comfort and confidence So wear what feels right for you and will keep you feeling your best from start to finish, whatever the weather
The Horserace Betting Levy Board prize fund schemes provide for the estimated inclusion of £525,998 in ratecard and incremental prize money at this racecourse from 24th June to 15th September 2024
Weights, Pedigrees, Trainers’ Names, Descriptions, Performances and Values of races have been added for the convenience of the Public, but are subject to alteration All horses must parade in the Parade Ring except by permission of the Stewards, but in all cases must pass through the Ring on the way to the Post The Management reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone without assigning a reason for so doing.
In the interests of safety, access to the parade ring is strictly limited to Owners and Trainers with runners in the race, British Horseracing Authority and Racecourse Officials who are on duty at the meeting and Emergency Service Personnel. Those people holding badges or accreditation that allow access to the Parade Ring are asked to refrain from entering this area unless it is absolutely necessary in the course of their business
Racegoers may take photographs for private purposes in the public enclosures Under no circumstances may photographs taken on the racecourse be used for publication without prior accreditation being obtained. Flash photography is not allowed anywhere on the Racecourse as it may distract or frighten horses.
The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation. The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards. In addition Sandown Park Racecourse employs three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital
