CO KES EVENING THE JOCKEY CLUB WELCOMES YOU
Welcome back to Sandown Park for the opening day of this year’s Betfair Tingle Creek Festival.
Every year the whole team look forward to the highlight of our Jump racing calendar We have 13 top-class races to enjoy over two action-packed days, kicking off today with a six-race card headlined by the Grade Two Ballymore Winter Novices Hurdle over two and a half miles
Last year's renewal saw Lossiemouth win for trainer Tom Lacey under jockey Stan Shepperd. Often seen as a key trial for Grade One Novice Hurdles later in the season, this race has been won by some of the greats of the sport including See More Business, Inglis Drever and Neptune Collonges.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors Betfair, Pinsent Masons, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, Ballymore and Pertemps for their generous support of today’s racing We wish them all an enjoyable day.
Alongside today’s cracking racing, we invite you to enjoy the full breadth of our food and beverage outlets including a variety of options located in Surrey Hall in the Grandstand as well as concession stands throughout the racecourse. Why not consider an upgrade to the Premier Enclosure offering an exceptional dining experience, a champagne bar and the best views of the racecourse and finishing post In addition, we have music entertainment throughout the day from the Brass Squad and, after racing, the Cobham Band will be performing some of your favourite Christmas carols whilst collecting money for Parkinsons UK
Sandown Park is always striving for opportunities to support our local communities and so for the second year in a row, we are proud to present our Gifting Programme in conjunction with Christ Church and the Lower Green Community Centre You are invited to drop off gifts such as toys, games and clothing for lower-income families and children at our donation boxes located in the ticket collection foyer on entry. If you have gifts you would like to donate at a later point, our collection point will be open until 5pm on Friday 9th December
Thank you for joining us on the opening day of the Betfair Tingle Creek Festival We wish all our racegoers and connections a wonderful day and the very best of luck.
