W: thejockeyclub.co.uk/sandown THE JOCKEY
Welcome to Sandown Park for the penultimate meeting of our 2022 fl at season. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors for this afternoon, the family of Les Dove, who kindly sponsor the fourth race in his memory. We also thank the British European Breeders Fund for their generous ongoing support. It has been a great summer here at Sandown Park, from the Group One Coral-Eclipse, won by French raider VADENI , to our enjoyable concerts throughout July and August. We’ve enjoyed welcoming racegoers throughout the year at a variety of meetings. Looking ahead, our final meeting of the 2022 Flat season will be Breeders' Day on Wednesday 14th September. Falling within National Racehorse Week, this interactive and informative day will o er the chance to engage with di erent organisations within the racing industry. There will be a Retraining of Racehorses parade, featuring amongst others, Gold Cup winner Coneygree and a meet the racehorse activation where you can meet Side Glance up close. Tickets are also now on sale for the highlight of our jumps season, the Betfair Tingle Creek Festival, held across Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December. Featuring the Grade One Betfair Tingle Creek run over 2 miles, this is a test of speed and accuracy and has been won by many of the greats of jump racing. I hope that you have a fantastic time with us at Sandown Park and wish all the horses and their connections the very best of luck.

Les spent his last few years near his family in Horley, his favourite race course was Sandown and many of us over the years have spent a good racing day here with him. We will spend the day remembering dear Les in one of his favourite places with a pint of Guinness and hopefully a winner or two.

LES MEMORIALDOVE
Great Grandad, Brother and friend to many.
Leslie passed on the 8th Sept 2021 at the grand age of 86, he is very much missed. The family decided to name this race in his name as dear Les loved sport, he was not a man of many possessions however loved his family, horse racing, Chelsea football club, a good pint of Guinness or nice glass of red wine!

VEE SIGHT took another step forward when third in a warm race over C&D last time and holds solid claims with further improvement on the cards. Secret Box was 3 lengths behind the selection on that occasion but that was his first start for over a year so he could do better with the outing behind him and is feared most ahead of the Crisfords’ novice winner Misty Dancer.
