WELCOME TO SALISBURY RACECOURSE

The directors and staff are delighted to welcome everyone to Salisbury Racecourse today, for the start of our 2023 season.

It is just over seven months since we last raced on 29th September, a day which saw a trio of two-year-old winners for Ralph Beckett, and His Majesty The King’s first ever runner in the royal silks. We will be staging a race on Tuesday 13th June in recognition of the forty-four winners that Queen Elizabeth II had at Salisbury, during her reign.

A few days after we finished last season, a former Salisbury winner, won Europe’s biggest race – the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp. Alpinista had been successful in a Listed race at our course in August 2020, before going onto greater things – six Group 1 wins to be precise. There is plenty to look forward to at Salisbury over the next five months and the list of our racedays can be found later in the racecard We next race this Sunday, the day after the Coronation, so please do join us if you can.
