Welcome to our final fixture of 2021. It is a shame that we have now come to the end of another season, but a good feeling to have staged all sixteen scheduled fixtures for the first time since 2017. Our first three racedays this year were behind closed doors, with only owners permitted, but we have been pleased to welcome back our annual badgeholders and day paying customers since the end of May. We have had to make some compromises on facilities available, but hope that we can be back to more normal next year. Finding staff to serve you has been a major issue - a problem repeated throughout the hospitality industry. Thank you for your understanding and patience. There have been plenty of good horses, which you would expect at Salisbury. It will be interesting to see how some of our winners progress. As usual, you will be kept updated in future racecards, when a Salisbury winner goes onto bigger and better things. Godolphin’s Albahr, which won the Stonehenge Stakes in August, was a recent Grade 1 winner at Woodbine in Toronto, Canada; and the very first winner at Salisbury back on 25th April, Angel Bleu, is very highly regarded and already a Group 2 winner. He could be seen at the highest level soon. His trainer, Ralph Beckett, will be our leading trainer this year, so congratulations to him, and to Oisin Murphy, our top jockey. The 2022 fixtures are now confirmed and are to be found later in the racecard. The staff and directors thank you all for your continued support, and we very much look forward to seeing you back at Salisbury next year. Best wishes, Jeremy Martin Executive Director & Clerk of the Course
