THE AJA NOVICE FLAT AMATEUR SERIES 2024
We are delighted to welcome you to Redcar for the second race of the Amateur Jockeys Association’s Novice Flat Amateur Series made up of 8 races open to AJA members who at the start of the current season have ridden no more than 3 winners under the Rules of Racing.
This year’s series is planned as follows:

This series offers racing opportunities under the watchful eye of a BHA Jockey Coach and is of great value to all participants. We greatly appreciate the support of all owners, trainers and racecourses involved.
This is a points series with 5 points awarded to each winner, 3 for 2nd, 2 for 3rd and 1 point for also-rans.
Past amateurs who have ridden in this series include Hollie Doyle and Megan Nicholls as well as jumping’s Harry Bannister, Connor Brace, Bryony Frost, Page Fuller, David Noonan, Harry Reed and Stan Sheppard.
