GRANDAD BOB returned with a solid showing when second at Catterick 47 days ago and he’s the type to do better with few miles on the clock, so he’s preferred to Cavalier Approach, with Castan expected to bounce back from a low-key reappearance on testing ground at Nottingham.

DUKEMAN is well bred and showed plenty last season, so he’s capable of defying an opening mark of 82 on seasonal/handicap debut. Wootton’sun looks a danger on the back of a solid showing at Pontefract and C&D winner Strawman should bounce back from an excusable run at York.
