A number of blank races will continue to be left in the programme in 2025, with race conditions confirmed approximately two weeks ahead of the fixture. These races exist in order to provide flexibility within the programme for races which may be required to meet any short-term demand. Trainer feedback on potential races is welcomed, however, although these races continue to appear as “Interactive Race” in the calendar and on Racing Admin, such feedback is only one factor in the decision of the BHA as to which races should be added. The latest level of entries, declarations and eliminations will also be taken into account when the BHA determines the final makeup of a blank race. A number of blank races will continue to be left in the programme in 2025, with race conditions confirmed approximately two weeks ahead of the fixture. These races exist in order to provide flexibility within the programme for races which may be required to meet any short-term demand. Trainer feedback on potential races is welcomed, however, although these races continue to appear as “Interactive Race” in the calendar and on Racing Admin, such feedback is only one factor in the decision of the BHA as to which races should be added. The latest level of entries, declarations and eliminations will also be taken into account when the BHA determines the final makeup of a blank race. Where there remains demand or gaps in the programme that these blank races cannot fulfil, the BHA always retains the ability to add additional races into the programme as deemed necessary
