RACE SUMMARY Mister Policeman will need to jump with greater fluency than he did at Naas last month. He’s in top hands, though, and looks sure to progress, but PATS CHOICE shades preference. The son of Getaway came up short in Listed company last time, but he’s been largely consistent and ought to be far more competitive in these calmer waters. Arctic Bresil receives 7lb from the selection and should not be underestimated, while recent Down Royal scorer Irish Blaze is no back number either.

RACE SUMMARY It’s hard to look past the Henry de Bromhead-trained SENIOR CHIEF, who finished second to Minella Cocooner at Navan last time, having chased home Gaelic Warrior when third before that. He sets a fair standard with an official rating of 142 and this looks a good opportunity to get off the mark over fences. Duffle Coat was never involved on the Flat when last seen, but he’s interesting back in this sphere and sent over the larger obstacles. Jimmy Chou Pecos Aa appeals most of the remainder.

RACE SUMMARY Gordon Elliott has an excellent record in this race, so it might be worth taking a chance on WHERE IT ALL BEGAN. He’s shown promise over the larger obstacles and looks open to improvement now sent over this marathon trip, while the booking of Jack Kennedy would suggest he is the yard’s first string. Stablemate Dunboyne was pulled up in the Thyestes last time out, but the fact he was sent off favourite suggests better was expected. Champagne Platinum finished fourth in this off 5lb higher last year and is noted along with the hat-trick seeking Clonmeen.

BOLDOG was quite taking when making a winning stable/hurdles bow at Tramore last month and there could be more to come from the Joseph O’Brien-trained gelding. The six-year-old impressed with the way he travelled and he could have too much speed for these rivals, with Westport Cove feared most. The Muhtathir gelding ran a progressive stablemate close at Clonmel and may fare best of the Willie Mullins trio, while Leopardstown winner No Flies On Him warrants respect too.

RACE SUMMARY MAJESTIC FORCE made a bright start to her career with a wide-margin success in a Lingstown point-to-point at the beginning of December before selling for 120,000 pounds at Cheltenham’s Tattersalls sale later on that month. Now in the care of Henry De Bromhead, the six-year-old holds an entry for the Dawn Run at Cheltenham and victory here may well see her book her Festival ticket. The Busy Fool enters calculations based on his second at Down Royal in November, while Paggane and Syracus Du Houx are others to consider.

RACE SUMMARY BUACHAILLBOCHT made it two victories from three starts in handicap company when scoring here last month. The step up in trip brought out more improvement from Ted Walsh’s gelding and despite a 9lb rise, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him progress further. Noble Talent scored in impressive style at Limerick on his handicap debut and is expected to be in the mix. Jeriko De Baune, Jack Du Large and Rusheen appeal most of the remainder.

RACE SUMMARY The Willie Mullins-trained pair Inn At The Park and SOUNDS VICTORIUS will undoubtedly be popular choices, but the latter arguably looks the most promising of the two and shades the vote. A half-brother to a bumper winner among others, the five-year-old showed stacks of promise when finishing second at Leopardstown’s Christmas fixture and will be hard to beat with another step forward. Masterboy Davis, an interesting recruit from the point-to-point scene, is a must for consideration on his Rules debut.

RACE SUMMARY A dual winner at this distance over jumps, CASH BACK rates the most appealing option, with the trip and forecast ground conditions likely to ideally suit. The Gordon Elliott-trained pair Samui and The Goffer also have some smart NH form to their names and can go well if coping now the emphasis switches to speed. Global Energy was last seen winning over 1m2f on the Flat at Leopardstown so cannot be dismissed either.
