Br B g Brazen Beau (AUS) - Maziona

B Springfield Farm Partnership

TIMEFORM VIEW Progressive at 4 but lightly raced and largely disappointing since, failing to beat a rival both starts for this yard Hard to fancy

2 PATERNOSTER SQUARE (FR) (15) 002 3

Br B g Invincible Spirit (IRE) - Pagua (IRE)

O Rabbah Racing Simon & Ed Crisford, Newmarket T

B S.A.S.U. Ecurie Des Monceaux et al

TIMEFORM VIEW Left previous form behind when second in a novice at Windsor 15 days ago and this shrewd stable should eke further improvement out of him now his attentions are turned to handicaps, so he’s worth taking a chance on.

3 PHOENIX FIRE (IRE) (59) 601-43

Br B g Fast Company (IRE) - Lydia Becker

O Denton Hall Racing Ltd

B Paul & Jim McCartan

3 9-8 (3)

TIMEFORM VIEW Hasn’t had much racing and took a step forward when third at Haydock a couple of months ago. Could feature if the race is run to suit.

4 CASSY O (IRE) (11) 00-4264 D 6

Br B g Camacho - Hawaajib (FR)

O Richard Taylor & Philip Hebdon

Malton T

B Lismacue Stud Easthorpe Hall Stud S

TIMEFORM VIEW Hasn’t won for a while but he’s fairly treated and arrives on the back of a creditable fourth at Doncaster, so no forlorn hope.

Br B f Mondialiste (IRE) - Novita (FR) Graham Lee J

O Chris Cleevely & Racing Knights Ben Haslam, Middleham T

TIMEFORM VIEW Returned with a successful start to the new campaign over C&D in April. Good second of 9 in handicap at Carlisle (6.9f, soft, 11/1) 13 days ago, slowly away Solid claims again back at Pontefract. TFRHHHHI BHA66

3 9-5 (7)

Br B f Kodiac - Shemda (IRE) Joe Fanning J

O Paul & Clare Rooney

Charlie Johnston, Middleham T

B Epona Bloodstock Ltd Johnston Racing Ltd S

TIMEFORM VIEW Built on good Hamilton reappearance run when resuming winning ways over C&D last month and far from discredited when runner-up at Bath subsequently. Boasts strong claims. TFRHHHHI BHA74

7 LERWICK (GB) (38) 224-40 BF

3 9-4 (1)

Br B g Awtaad (IRE) - Mystique Callum Rodriguez J

O The Marquess of Zetland

Edward Bethell, Middleham T

B Mr Jeremy Gompertz Zetland Estates Ltd S

TIMEFORM VIEW Has made an encouraging start to handicaps, fourth at Haydock on return and would have finished a bit closer had he not been hampered late at Doncaster last time, so not without hope. TFRHHHII BHA73

PLAY SMARTER

PATERNOSTER SQUARE took a step forward when runner-up at Windsor last time and he’s open to further progress switched to handicaps, so he’s preferred to the in-form Hi Clare, who scored here a couple of starts ago. Do I Dream is also well worthy of consideration.

Andrew Charles of Charles Stewart & Co Chartered Accountants will present a memento to the winning owner in the Winner’s Enclosure after this race A cash prize of £100 will be presented to the stable employee in charge of the best turned out horse in this race.

The winning horse will also receive a sack of carrots kindly donated by Poskitts Vegetable Farmers and Growers.

If you require assistance please ask one of the Attendants, either at the Entrance where you came in or at one of the Pass Gates. If you are in the Premier or Grandstand & Paddock Enclosures you can also enquire at the Raceday Office which is next to the Winners Enclosure.
