Wayne was taken away from us far too soon but his legacy remains, a husband and father loved and admired by family, friends and colleagues alike.

He showed great strength in the face of a terrible illness when previously he had been so fit and well.

Family and friends meet once a year here at Pontefract to celebrate his life at a place he loved to visit.

Jean who lived & worked in the Doncaster/Scunthorpe area in several roles sadly passed on the 25th June 2019 aged 81 - she was a much loved mum to her daughter Helen who joins us today along with her 2 sons Luke & Leigh.

Also with us today are relatives Mich & Debbie who have made the trip over from Eindhoven, Holland.

Jean’s horse racing interest came via her late husband Tony who was an avid horse racing fan with his usual 20p RR bets on a Saturday morning.

Brenda’s son David along with his best friend Martin & wife Dawn join us today to remember Brenda who sadly passed 26th June 2021 aged 89yrs.

Brenda spent all her working life teaching at various schools in the Barnsley area before retiring as Deputy Head at Kendray Juniors in the early 90’s.

Brenda’s racing interest was mainly a distant one where she loved to watch Royal Ascot with all the pomp & pageantry but did actually manage a ladies day visit here at Pontefract to celebrate a birthday.
