WELCOME Welcome to Star Sports November Raceday Welcome back to many of you after the excitement of Monday. Monday saw a fabulous card run on excellent ground for very good prize money. It was wonderful to have the support of many of our local trainers along with some well-known others. A Royal owned winner, a treble for the Mulholland camp and the first winner over jumps for the newly formed Jamie and Josh Moore partnership were among the highlights of a fabulous day. We are really pleased to be able to host this extra Raceday. It is well documented that the long, hot and dry summer has not only hindered grass growth and ground repair, but at many courses across the country the ground is still too firm to allow racing to take place. At numerous courses we have seen all-hurdle cards (including ourselves back in September), and we have therefore been happy to work with the British Horseracing Authority to run four Chase races this afternoon. This afternoon we have seven races and over £70,000 of prize money up for grabs, and we are pleased to welcome the Star Sports team to Plumpton. They are good friends of the course who regularly use our Boxes to entertain their guests and, of course, have their bookmaker pitches in the betting ring. Thanks to their support and generosity, we have all races sponsored today. Thank you. With regard to tonight, we are fully aware of all the local Bonfire traditions and that local roads will become busy or closed in the Lewes direction. The last train stopping at Lewes is at 4.50pm, so anyone wanting to attend should allow plenty of time. Looking ahead, we still have another three racedays before Christmas, so please book early to get our best prices. With sold out signs for Restaurants and Boxes on 30th November and 14th December, we have decided to open our Final Fence Marquee on 30th November. It is the perfect location for a Christmas get-together, and prices are £95 per person. Wishing everyone a fabulous day. Best Wishes

RACE 2
KLIC BOUM could never really land too significant a blow over timber last term, but it was a different story when sent chasing at Newton Abbot on his reappearance. The six-year-old kept on powerfully to finish within a neck of the winner and he’s 2lb well-in so this looks an excellent opportunity to go one place better. Marlacoo was a beaten favourite over hurdles at Chepstow, but has the potential to do much better over fences. Sweet Caryline’s recent Worcester spin should stand her in good stead. totewin: Klic Boum toteeachway: Marlacoo
RACE 3
Jenny France didn’t run too badly on her seasonal return/hurdling bow but she weakened over the two-mile trip on that occasion, whereas LADY LITIGATOR looked outpaced over 2m1f at Newton Abbot and is fancied to reap the rewards of a step up in distance. Posh Chick sports a tongue-tie having shown little on her first start over timber and hurdling newcomer Safari might prove stronger of that pair. totewin: Lady Litigator toteeachway: Jenny France
RACE 4
MELTON MOSSY struck over the extended 1m7f at Wincanton back in March and showed his versatility with regards to trip when winning over an extended 2m6f at Stratford last month. The seven-year-old might do even better stepped up further in distance and a 3lb rise should be no barrier to further success. Ferret Jeeter bolted up on his sole chasing start over C&D before following up over hurdles at Fontwell and is the logical threat, despite the absence. Enjoy d’Allen heads the remainder. totewin: Melton Mossy toteeachway: Ferret Jeeter
RACE 5
Jamie Snowden’s yard is firing on all cylinders and CENTRAL COMMAND is taken to make a winning stable/hurdling debut. The son of Space Blues won three times on the Flat, with the last of those victories coming over 1m4f at Doncaster in June. He’s taken to edge out Barbury Boy, a dual winner on the level also making his hurdling bow, while Pantile’s Gift is another worthy of a second glance. totewin: Central Command toteeachway: Barbury Boy
RACE 6
Soomaroy and Crest of Stars both go over fences in public for the first time and are intriguing contenders, but BOND BROKER’s superior experience could make the difference. Paul Nicholls’ gelding broke his fencing duck at Ludlow in March, although he was rather disappointing at Stratford after that. A break might have done him some good and he still has time to do better over the larger obstacles. totewin: Bond Broker toteeachway: Soomaroy
BEL OMBRE readily pulled clear of the opposition at Worcester on his first attempt over fences. Neil Mulholland’s charge made every yard on the quick ground and could prove hard to catch on similar going, with plenty more to come over the larger obstacles. Rip Wheeler is more exposed over fences, although he won at Fontwell back in April and returns to action with a shout. Kdeux Saint Fray could fare better in this lower grade. totewin: Bel Ombre toteeachway: Rip Wheeler

TODAY’S TOP TIPS
EZ TIGER thrives at this track, having won three of his six starts here so far. Alex Hales’ charge returned the resolute winner of a duel to the line here last month and a 3lb rise doesn’t seem insurmountable. Crest of Arms placed in a couple of maiden hurdles back in May. He looks set to make his presence felt in handicaps, while Basilette could also land a blow in this lower grade. totewin: Ez Tiger toteeachway: Crest of Arms
