Charlie Hammond J Dr Richard Newland, Droitwich T B Juddmonte Farms Ltd Coulthursts Ltd S TIMEFORM VIEW Fairly useful performer on the Flat but was well held returning form 18 months off at Ffos Las last time and lacked application in a pair of juvenile hurdles in 2020/21. Looks risky. TFRHHHII BHA2 MORDRED (IRE) (26) 2354-64

Mitchell Bastyan J Milton Harris, Warminster T B Lynn Lodge Stud Middleham Park Racing S TIMEFORM VIEW Dual winner at Saint Moritz on Flat. Yet to score in 6 attempts in this sphere but did take a step back in the right direction when fourth in a 16.7f handicap at Bangor 26 days ago, despite jumping none too fluently. Charlie Todd J Ian Williams, Alvechurch T B Rabbah Bloodstock Limited Hunter Plastics Limited S TIMEFORM VIEW Fair handicapper on Flat, stays 1 3/4m, below expectations last time. Market should prove a good guide now hurdling. TFRHHHII BHA4 LUSAKA (IRE) (31) 422

Sean Bowen J Olly Murphy, Wilmcote T B Rabbah Bloodstock Limited McCoy Contractors S TIMEFORM VIEW Fairly useful maiden on Flat (stays 11f) in Ireland. Stepped up on his hurdling debut form when runner-up at Southwell in July and ran to a similar level when filling same spot at Fontwell (17.7) last time, just failing. Holds leading claims. Milton Harris, Warminster T B Mrs Evelyne Van Haaren bresbet ltd S TIMEFORM VIEW Ran to a modest level on the first of 2 starts over hurdles at Auteuil in 2021/22 and has bettered that form over fences subsequently. Interesting recruit for the Milton Harris yard in an ordinary maiden. TFRHHHHI BHA116

PLAY SMARTER LUSAKA looked a bit unlucky not to win at Fontwell last month, so he’s taken to gain compensation and open his account as a hurdler. Seigneur des As looks an interesting recruit for the Milton Harris yard having shown ability in France and is considered the main threat.

HOPE THAT YOU HAVE A LOVELY DAY HERE WITH YOUR FAMILY!

For the 10th year running we are sponsoring this race as a memorial to a great friend of ours, Andrew Jackson, who passed away suddenly in June 2013. “Wack” loved all sports and was a regular on the racecourse and a genuine fan of National Hunt racing. An avid cricketer, huge Sunderland FC supporter as well as a fan of a pint or two - any reference to these pursuits in today’s runners will be heavily backed by his friends! So enjoy the race and raise a pint to our friend ‘Wack’, who’d have loved today’s day out. Gone, but never forgotten and always in our hearts.
