Stewards Note:

METHODTOTHEMADNESS: Following its run on 25/3/2023 it was reported that the horse had a breathing problem.

Probable S.P’s: 11-4 Uptown Harry (IRE), 7-2 Methodtothemadness (IRE), Everyday Champagne (IRE), 9-2 Victory Echo (IRE), 17-2 Breaking The Ice (IRE), 28-1 Frau Georgia (IRE)

PLAY SMARTER

UPTOWN HARRY had been given a chance by the handicapper when scoring at Carlisle last time and a 3lb rise looks manageable in his bid to follow up Methodtothemadness enjoyed a productive campaign in 2022/23 and returned with a breathing issue last time, so should be capable of going close if that problem doesn’t re-emerge, whilst Everyday Champagne is also respected after a brace of second-place efforts.

Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn first time by No 9. Visor worn by No 2. Tongue Strap worn by No 3, 7, 8.

PLAY SMARTER

AZOF DES MOTTES had more in hand than the margin suggested when scoring at Kelso last month and he’s fancied to overcome a 3lb higher mark. Izzy’s Champion was able to dictate at Market Rasen last time but should give another good account from the same mark, while last year’s winner Sword of Fate is another that can’t be discounted.
