RACEDAY PRESENTER

Gary Capewell

Welcome to Nottingham Racecourse and thank you for joining us today.

We are delighted to welcome owners, trainers, jockeys, stable staff and racegoers for what promises to be an enjoyable evening of competitive racing. Whether you are a regular visitor or attending for the first time, we hope you enjoy everything that Nottingham Racecourse has to offer

Today’s fixture is one of two meetings that Nottingham Racecourse is pleased to stage this summer following transfers from Haydock, with a further fixture due to take place here on Thursday 2nd July Racing relies on the flexibility and cooperation of racecourses across the country, and we were delighted to support our colleagues in helping to ensure these opportunities for owners, trainers, jockeys and stable staff could be maintained. We extend a warm Nottingham welcome to all those visiting us because of this transfer and hope you enjoy your time with us.

My thanks, as always, go to our owners, trainers, jockeys and stable staff, as well as the dedicated team here at Nottingham Racecourse. From our grounds teams to those working across operations, maintenance, catering, sales, marketing and customer relations, their professionalism and commitment ensure every raceday is delivered to the highest standard.

Thank you for your support and for choosing to spend your day with us. We hope you have an enjoyable and successful afternoon and look forward to welcoming you back to Nottingham Racecourse again soon.

Enjoy the racing.

Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.

‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.

‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.

Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.

Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.

Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

2025: NO CORRESPONDING RACE LASTYEAR

Blinkers worn by No 7. Tongue Strap worn by No 4. Visor, Tongue Strap worn by No 3. Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn by No 4. Stewards Note: SECRET MISTRAL: Following its run on 26/12/2025 it was reported that the horse ran too freely

Probable S.P’s: 3-1 Desert Treasure (GB), 4-1 Sugar Hill Babe (IRE), 5-1 Tiva (IRE), 11-2 Paradise Walk (IRE), 8-1 Palmeira (GB), 10-1 Elegant Erin (IRE), 20-1 Secret Mistral (GB)

DESERT TREASURE was unbeaten as a juvenile and shaped as if badly needing her York reappearance 36 days ago following a 10-month absence so she’s well worth another chance to show her true ability now fitter. Tiva has improved with each run back from a layoff and was unlucky at Musselburgh last time when short of room, while Sugar Hill Babe won readily over C&D 20 days ago

DECLARED RUNNERS 6 2025: NO CORRESPONDING RACE LASTYEAR

Sheepskin Cheek Pieces worn by No 2.

Stewards Note:

RAFFLES ANGEL: Following its run on 6/6/2026 it was reported that the horse jumped awkwardly from the stalls. CAIRDEAS: Following its run on 3/6/2026 it was reported that the horse hung right-handed under pressure.

Probable S.P’s: 11-4 Winchurch (IRE), 3-1 Holbache (GB), 5-1 Early Release (GB), InglebyArchie (IRE), 7-1 Cairdeas (GB), 18-1 Raffles Angel (GB)

INGLEBY ARCHIE has slipped a long way in the weights and went like the best horse at them when collared late at Hamilton last time, so he can make amends from 1lb higher in a competitive race Winchurch was better than ever when winning at Catterick last time and can pose the biggest threat, with Cairdeas taken to complete the 1-2-3.

2025: NO CORRESPONDING RACE LASTYEAR

DISTORTED TRUTH: Following its run on 8/5/2026 it was reported that the horse jumped right leaving the stalls.

Probable S.P’s: 13-8 Kalokalo (IRE), 5-2Astracornus (GB), 5-1 MrBollinger(USA), 8-1 Miss Pretty (GB), 14-1 DistortedTruth (IRE)

KALOKALO wasn’t the most professional when scoring at Windsor earlier this month but he’s done well since being upped to this trip and has the abilityto defythis 6lb higher mark. Handicap newcomers Astracornus and Mr Bollinger both rate as potential improvers now stepping into this company.
