DANIEL CRAGGS General Manager, Nottingham Racecourse
Welcome to Nottingham Racecourse, and thank you for joining us today. We are delighted to welcome owners, trainers, jockeys, stable staff and racegoers for what promises to be another enjoyable afternoon of competitive racing. Whether you are a regular visitor or attending for the first time, we hope you enjoy everything that Nottingham Racecourse has to offer. Today’s meeting is the third fixture we have been pleased to stage this summer following its transfer from Haydock Park. It has been a privilege to welcome so many familiar and new faces to Nottingham over the past few weeks, and I would like to thank everyone for their support. Hosting these fixtures has been a positive example of racecourses working together for the benefit of British racing, and we are proud to have played our part. My thanks, as always, go to our owners, trainers, jockeys and stable staff, as well as the dedicated team here at Nottingham Racecourse. From our grounds team to those working across operations, maintenance, catering, sales, marketing and customer relations, their professionalism and commitment ensure every raceday is delivered to the highest standard. Thank you for your continued support and for choosing to spend your day with us. We hope you enjoy an excellent afternoon of racing, wish all connections the very best of luck, and look forward to welcoming you back to Nottingham Racecourse again soon.

Look out for Letters: C D CD BF
= Has won at this course = Has won over this distance = Has won over this distance at this course = Was a beaten favourite
MORE INFORMATION ON THE FORM / P F U R CO B S r
= New racing season = Missed racing season = Was pulled-up and didn’t finish the race = Horse fell = Rider unseated = Horse refused to race = The horse was forced out of a race by a loose horse = Horse was brought down = Horse slipped = The horse ran around a jump or took the wrong course in a flat race = Disqualified
d Bold form figures = performance in all-weather (Flat) or Point-to-Point (Jump) races
2. BHA rating = the higher the number, the better the horse. 3. Timeform view and TFR rating 4. HORSE’S TRAINER & THEIR LOCATION
Look out for the summary of leading course trainers before each race. 5. JOCKEYS Listen out for any jockeys who are having a successful day. OTHER USEFUL DETAILS 6. BETTING EXPLAINED Select your horse. Note their name and saddlecloth number.
Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.
Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.
Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.
‘To win’ is for your horse to come first. ‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.
Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.
