The Jockey Club would like to thank our Group Partners for their support in 2024
Welcome to Nottingham Racecourse, where we’re kicking off our 2024 Season with a fantastic evening of horseracing, live music and locally brewed Nottinghamshire beers, ales, and ciders. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Rhino.bet and Blue Monkey Brewery for their generous sponsorship of this evening’s 7-race card
As well as the thrilling Flat racing action on the track, we’ll have live music from classic rock covers band, Beggars Belief playing in-between racing plus indulge in a delicious selection of locally brewed craft ales, beers and ciders from Blue Monkey Brewery, Nottingham Brewery and Docks Beers from our Beer Tent located besides the Parade Ring Apart from all this, we invite you to enjoy the variety of menu options at Winning Plaice and Ann’s Tearoom as well as the plethora of concession stands throughout the racecourse including Alpine Pizzas and Smoke ‘n; Braai, a mouthwatering South African BBQ offering.
Nottingham Racecourse has a line-up of exciting race days planned this 2024 Season. Mark your calendars for the ultimate weekend racing experience at our May Social this Spring, kicking off with celebrating local musical talent at our first ever Open Mic Night and Racing on Friday 10 May, followed by the pinnacle elegance and action on Ladies Day Saturday 11 May. Before this racing extravaganza, we’re looking forward to the Nottinghamshire Oaks Raceday on Tuesday 30 April, featuring the listed Nottinghamshire Oaks, a one mile and two-furlong race for high calibre fillies and mares. Looking ahead to later in the summer, we’ve caught ABBA Fever on Saturday 6 July an electrifying evening of racing and music, perfect for all Dancing Queens and Kings! Information and tickets for all our race days as well as season tickets is available through the racecourse office or on our website www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/nottingham
On a personal note, this will be my very first fixture as General Manager at Nottingham Racecourse and I am absolutely thrilled to be making this career move within Jockey Club Racecourses. I started my career with The Jockey Club in 2017 at Market Rasen Racecourse and I am very excited to start working with the team at Nottingham and kick off the season this evening.
I and the whole team hope that you have a fantastic time at Nottingham Racecourse this evening and wish the horses and their connections the very best of luck
Rachel Squires
General Manager NottinghamRacecourse

Probable S.P’s: 9-4 The Dragon King (IRE), 11-4 Teej A (IRE), 5-1 Clipsham Noble (IRE), Lady Dorchester (IRE), 16-1 Chilly Breeze (GB), Orlando Magic (GB)
THE DRAGON KING showed bags of speed first time up when finishing runner-up at Southwell last month so with improvement on the cards, Clive Cox’s colt is taken to go a place better at the expense of debutante Teej A, who represents a yard notorious for success with their juveniles. Lady Dorchester showed more than previously at Kempton recently and she rounds off the shortlist.

SEATTLE TIME got back on track at Lingfield last month and it would be a surprise if things didn’t soon click for him having not been long with the upwardly-mobile Jack Jones yard Glencalvie scored at Yarmouth last week and has to be respected after that effort, whilst Tonal is better than he could show at Doncaster and is another player.

CLANSMAN arrives in the form of his life so, provided this quick turnaround doesn’t catch him out, Liam Bailey’s 6-y-o is strongly fancied to complete the hat-trick with a useful 7lb apprentice booked to ride. Young Merlin has his first start on the Flat for Amy Murphy, and he’s put forward as the main threat returning from 5 months off, with Greatness Awaits taken to fill out third.
