Welcome to Nottingham Racecourse where we are taking it Back to the 80s with an unforgettable evening of racing and entertainment. This is one of the social events of the year and a chance for you to dress to express while enjoying the thrilling racing action.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Rhinobet for their generous sponsorship of today’s six race card and of course to Fairfax Saddles for their ongoing support of our Leading Trainers and Jockey championships. Defending champion jockey Rob Hornby is still the clear leader in the Fairfax Jockey Championships with Daniel Muscutt and Oisin Murphy chasing closely behind.

Before we get groovy on the grass, we have six excellent races on the card today including the Discover Whats Trending At RHINO.BET Casino Handicap Stakes, another qualifier for the Jockey Club Grassroots Stayer Series. These series have been created to offer increased prize money to horses that typically compete just below the Group or Listed level. To secure a spot in the finals at Nottingham in September, horses must have participated in at least one qualifying race throughout the season A total of 18 qualifying races will be hosted at Jockey Club Racecourses during each series, ensuring ample opportunities to reach the finals

Apart from the thrilling racing this evening, we invite you to enjoy the variety of menu options at Winning Plaice and Ann’s Tearoom as well as a plethora of concession stands throughout the racecourse including additional Prosecco and cocktail bars and an ice cream van For those seekingamorelavishexperienceyoucanupgradetoSherwoodsRestauranttoenjoyexceptional hospitality alongside the best view of the racecourse For more detailed information about these options, please visit our website provided below.

Once racing concludes a double DJ set of 80s anthems will get your boogie on until well into the night. We hope you’ve unleashed your creativity and dressed to express as the most extravagant costumes have a chance to win a delightful bottle of bubbles on us! Glitter and neon makeup stations will be there to elevate your look as well as an opportunity to bust a move on the rodeo ride

Nottingham Racecourse has a line-up of exciting racedays planned throughout the summer, offering something for everyone Mark your calendars for the RSA Fiver Friday on 21 July, where you can enjoy a day at the races for an incredible £5. As an ode to the charming Colwick Park area, we also look forward to hosting the highly anticipated return of the Colwick Cup Raceday on Tuesday 15 August This renowned event promises an electrifying atmosphere and thrilling races that will leave you on the edge of your seat Information and tickets for all our racedays as well as our annual passes is available through the racecourse office or on our website www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/nottingham.

Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.

Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.

HER WAY has slipped in the weights since an encouraging third at Newcastle in February and a chance is taken that she can build on her wide-margin victory there in a stable-staff race now back under Rules. Just Hiss led home Point Louise at that same course last week and that pair are highly respected again, alongside recent Brighton winner Let Her Loose.

SMOKEY MALONE: Following its run on 10/6/2023 it was reported that the horse was outpaced early on.

Probable S.P’s: 9-2 Rose Camira (GB), 13-2 Smokey Malone (GB), Marbuzet (GB), 8-1 Beggarman (GB), 9-1 Norman Kindu (GB), 11-1 Desert Quest (IRE), 14-1 Lawmans Blis (IRE), Daaris (IRE), 18-1 Thunder Flash (GB), 22-1 Embolden (IRE)

NORMAN KINDU took a step forward on his comeback run despite not being ideally placed in a steadily-run affair when fourth at Redcar (14f) 2 weeks ago and from this much-reduced mark, he could be worth chancing to build on that effort here.
