A special thank you to DG Cars and the family and friends of Dawn Brodie who have generously provided for today’s seven-race card We would like to congratulate Dawn and Steve on their marriage and wish them an enjoyable time today. We have two feature races today including The Join Racing TV Now Handicap Stakes at 3.40pm, a qualifier for the Jockey Club Grassroots Sprint Series, and the racingtv.com Handicap Stakes at 5.20pm as the second qualifier for the Jockey Club Grassroots Stayers Series. These series aim to offer increased prize money to horses that generally race just below Group or Listed level. To qualify for the finals, horses must have participated in at least one qualifying race throughout the season, with a total of 16 qualifying races hosted at Jockey Club Racecourses during each series

The venue offers a wide range of hospitality options, from casual dining to luxurious private boxes, and there are plenty of bars and food outlets available throughout the course It’s sure to be a great afternoon for all, finishing off with a DJ when racing concludes
Looking ahead we have the fun-filled Superhero Family Raceday at Nottingham Racecourse on June 4th. This action-packed event is perfect for the whole family, featuring free entertainment, a kid’s costume competition and exciting racing action, all taking place on the last day of summer half term Make sure you also mark your diaries for our retro-themed 80s Summer Party on Saturday 8 July where you can pull on your neon legwarmers and Hawaiian shirts for a fantastic day of top racing and quality tunes.

ON THE RIVER didn’t appear to have a great deal in hand when following up his Pontefract success at Beverley 12 days ago, but he arguably went for home a bit earlier than ideal and a 3lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from completing the hat-trick. An on-song Dandy Maestro would be a threat off this mark and Strongbowe shouldn’t be far away if backing up his latest effort, for all that faster ground would be ideal. TIMEFORM

Roger Varian’s Siyouni filly AMAZING has improved with each of her three runs and is fancied to open her account now she steps into handicap company for the first time. Ed Walker’s daughter of Sir Percy Khinjani also brings some potential and is feared most ahead of in-form maiden Edmund Ironside and the returning Starnberg.

PLAY SMARTER
Severalto considerinthis competitive handicap The pick ofthem could be RICK BLAINE, who has got back on track since undergoing a wind op and he was beaten a whisker when dead-heating for second offthis mark at Windsor last month. Stepping back up in trip here will be in his favour Casa Loupi’s wellbeing has to be taken on trust following a lengthy absence but he’s interesting all the same and is feared most ahead of Fen Tiger and Tigerten.
