BECOME A SEASON TICKET HOLDER AND ENJOY 23 RACE DAYS ON SALE NOW
A warm welcome back to Nottingham Racecourse for our season opener, the first of 22 fixtures running throughout our 2023 season.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our generous sponsors, Racing TV and Miller Homes for supporting today’s card
We have an exciting season ahead, with joint Leading Trainers John & Thady Gosden and William Haggas as well as Leading Jockey Rob Hornby looking to defend their titles A special thank you to Fairfax for their continued sponsorship of the series
The Racing TV Profits Returned To Racing Handicap Stakes is the feature race for today as the first qualifier for the Jockey Club Grassroots Stayers Series. The Series is aimed at offering enhanced prize money to horses who tend to do their racing at a notch or two below Group or Listed level. Qualification for the finals requires horses to have run in a minimum of one qualification race throughout the season, of which there are 16 staged across Jockey Club Racecourses in each series
As well as the excellent racing this afternoon, we invite you to enjoy Winning Plaice and Ann’s Tearoom as well as several other bars and food concession stands in this relaxed and friendly setting.
We have a further two race fixtures this month kicking off with the Further Flight Stakes on 12 April, the title race for which was won by Trueshan in 2022 followed swiftly by the Castle Rock Brewery Festival just 10 days later. Information on our annual passes as well as tickets for all our fixtures are available to purchase, either through the racecourse office or on our website, www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/nottingham
I hope that you have a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon here at Nottingham Racecourse and wish all the horses and their connections the very best of luck
Warm wishes,
Jeremy Bradbeer Chairman Nottingham RacecourseDON’T FORGET OUR NEXT MEETINGSATURDAY 12TH APRIL

PLAY SMARTER
JUST BRING IT boasts a progressive profile and had something to spare when scoring at Kempton recently, so he should take the beating if he proves as effective back on turf Woodstock arrives on a hat-trick and is a big danger, while Goodfella is worthy of interest having set a solid platform in 3 runs last season.
