THE JOCKEY CLUB WELCOMES YOU
A warm welcome to Construction Day at Nottingham Racecourse for an exciting afternoon of flat racing.
This will be the last fixture of the season we hold on the outer track however we have two more race days in the calendar including the season finale held on Wednesday 2 November which last year boasted some exceptional two year old racing. This time last year Eldar Eldarov won its maiden debut in one of the divisions of the first race and Raasel won the 5 furlong handicap, now holding a 107 rating since.
As we look forward to some excellent racing this afternoon, we hope you will make the most of Nottingham’s many bars and food outlets in our relaxed and friendly setting. Sherwoods Restaurant is fully booked for today but be sure to book an upgrade online to the restaurant or to one of our private boxes to take advantage of the best seats in the house for our two remaining race days in this year In addition, we are just two weeks away from hosting our fireworks night on Saturday 29 October This is an opportunity to get the whole family together and head down for an enjoyable evening. Tickets for all our events as well as hospitality and events packages are available on our website www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/nottingham.
With the 2022 racing season drawing to a close, we invite you to come and join us for one of our Christmas parties hosted throughout December Come and celebrate in style with family, friends, and colleagues in our unique setting. More information on packages is available on our website.
I hope that you have a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon here at Nottingham Racecourse and wish all the horses and their connections the very best of luck.

PLAY SMARTER
It looks significant that KING OF STEEL holds an entry for the Futurity Stakes at Doncaster later this month and the son of Wootton Bassett is taken to make a winning start. Nader King showed ability in what was probably a good maiden at Yarmouth so rates a threat, with Alshadhian and Cello a couple of other newcomers to note.

THE CHAMP looked to have a good deal up his sleeve when scoring at Hamilton on his handicap debut and a 6lb rise might not be enough to stop this improving 3-y-o. Cumulonimbus has relished the softer conditions of late and arrives on a hat-trick, so he’s feared most with First Impression another one to seriously consider in a competitive event.
