A warm welcome to Nottingham Racecourse for an afternoon of competitive racing, featuring six races.

We would also like to welcome all those who are joining us who are part of the Blue Light Services. We thank you for all your hard and tireless work throughout the last few years of the COVID pandemic. Two of today’s races are qualifiers for our Jockey Club Grassroots Series Final, which takes place back here on 28th September. The Series is aimed at offering enhanced prize money to horses who tend to do their racing at a notch or two below Group or Listed level. As well as the excellent racing this afternoon, we hope you will make the most of Nottingham’s many bars, food outlets and restaurants in this relaxed and friendly setting. Looking ahead to later this week, we are looking forward to Colwick Cup Day on Friday, featuring the race named after the racecourse’s current site Colwick Park.
