A very warm welcome to Nottingham for our final raceday of 2021. We have enjoyed some fantastic racing this season, from our season opener back in April when Sir Ron Priestley won the Listed Further Flight Stakes, through August when Byron Hill just got the nod in a titanic battle to lift the Colwick Cup, up to our most recent meeting when Island Falcon showcased his talent in the Golden Horn Maiden. Today we will make the presentations of the leading trainer and leading jockey for the season, rewarding those who have had the highest number of winners at Nottingham in 2021. We would like to thank Fairfax Saddles for their continued support of this initiative and for their generous contribution to the prizes. This afternoon is poignant for a long-standing member of the Nottingham team, Jane Hedley, as this will be her final fixture here before she embarks on an exciting new chapter in Ireland as Racing Operations Manager at Leopardstown Racecourse. Jane has done an amazing job over the course of nearly 10 years with The Jockey Club, and will be stepping into a role that she thoroughly deserves. We have eight exciting races to look forward to this afternoon, including two divisions of another red hot maiden in the shape of the MansionBet Bet £10 Get £20 EBF Maiden Stakes, which has been won in the past by subsequent Group 1 winners Space Blues and Mishriff. I would encourage you to keep a close eye on both of today's winners. We also have a fillies' maiden and a two-year-old nursery on the card, providing a chance to see some unexposed talents before the winter break. Bringing the curtain down on the action is the AJA Handicap, which is for female amateur jockeys.
