Mr Gethyn Mills WE HOPE THAT YOU ALL HAVE AN ENJOYABLE AND SUCCESSFUL DAY’S RACING OUR NEXT MEETING
A very warm welcome to you all from the team here at Newton Abbot Racecourse, your support is very much appreciated and valued and we hope you all have an enjoyable and successful afternoon’s racing with us.
Our thanks go to our sponsors here today who are the Sun Racing Club, Edmundson Electrical Torquay, The Par Inn, Charles Darrow, and West Country Food Supplies We hope that everyone enjoys their day’s racing with us.
Today should be an excellent and competitive day’s racing with over 50 horses declared and we have lots more exciting racing coming up soon too! Later this month we have a revamped Ladies Night on 23rd June when after a great evening you can chose to watch local band Harbour in the Paddock Suite or watch England play Ghana on our big screen straight after racing finishes. Plus there’s the fun of the best dressed and best hat competitions with a mix of fabulous prizes and great support form the likes of St Austell, Murray VW and Hoopers Before then we have the evening of the 12th June, which always has a great atmosphere and this year sees the brilliant Electric Empire perform after racing.
Next month sees another three fixtures- the 3rd, 13th and then Sunday 19th July which is a fabulous family day featuring the Rowcroft Hospice Mascot Race, for which entries are now open. In addition to Blaze and the other mascots we’ll have face painting, jugglers, fairies, inflatables, play park, hook a duck, human fruit machine and more!
Don’t forget too that Newton Abbot Racecourse is open all year round for events, special occasions, conferencing and much more, check out our events calendar on the website or drop us a line or give us a call if you have a specific enquiry or want to hold your event here.
Finally thank you again for all your support through thick and thin, it is hugely appreciated and valued and we hope to see you again soon (please see our full fixture list later in this racecard). Have a great day

STAR RATINGS EXPLAINED
OFFICIAL BHA RATINGS EXPLAINED
The BHA Handicappers allot ratings to horses once they have taken part in a sufficient number of races to enable the Handicappers to make a numerical assessment of each horse’s ability. The principal purpose of the ratings is to determine the weight to be carried by each runner in handicap races, with the Handicappers aiming to provide each participant with an equal chance based on its best recent form under its optimum conditions

JUKEBOX ANNIE: Following its run on 8/1/2026 it was reported that the horse was unsuited by the going.
Probable S.P.’s: 3-1 Westerton (IRE), 11-2 Lord Cauvelliere (FR), 6-1 Cogital (GB), 13-2 Ugo Bingo (FR), 10-1 Zambezi Fix (FR), 12-1 Marhaba The Champ (GB), 22-1 Hawa Jumeirah (GB), 25-1 Get The Value (IRE), Jukebox Annie (IRE), 40-1 Warfleet (GB), 50-1 Peace Motivator (GB), Ambassador (IRE)
WESTERTON likely has more to offer as a hurdler if brushing up his jumping and is taken to make amends for a momentum-halting mistake at Warwick a fortnight ago. Ugo Bingo clearly wasn’t 100% on the day at Wincanton last time and shouldn’t be taken lightly having eased back down to his last successful mark. Marhaba The Champ may do better now entering handicaps in this sphere and completes the shortlist
