AFTERNOON RACING

OFFICIAL PROGRAMME & FORM GUIDE

WEDNESDAY 29TH OCTOBER 2025

A VERY WARM WELCOME TO YOU ALL FROM THE TEAM HERE AT NEWTON ABBOT RACECOURSE ON WHAT IS OUR FINAL RACEDAY OF THE YEAR - YOUR SUPPORT IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED AND VALUED, AND WE HOPE YOU ALL HAVE AN ENJOYABLE AND SUCCESSFUL DAY’S RACING WITH US

Today will mark us having completed all 18 fixtures this year, which is great testament to the team here especially on the back of losing six of the 18 in 2024. As an independent racecourse it is crucial that we maximise the fixtures that we have as well as build and diversify outside of the Racing and the team have been absolutely outstanding in the way they have come together to achieve an excellent season. The support of all our customers is so important and we thank all of you for your support. We are already looking forward to 2026 which begins on Easter Saturday, we look forward to welcoming you back again then! All of our 2026 fixtures can be found later in this programme.

Our thanks very much go to our sponsors here today, who are South West Rail Solutions Ltd, ITUS Events, Safety & Security and CompWiz Solutions for Business. We hope they and their guests have a great day with us today. ITUS and CompWiz are members of our new and thriving Business Club for which details appear later in this programme.

Today, with it being half term school holidays we have our Halloween themed family day. All of the activities are based in the Course Enclosure but everyone with a paddock ticket is welcome to join in the fun. Please get along to our Course Bar room which is located under the course grandstand to have all the fun of pumpkin carving, all of our pumpkins are free and the room is supervised, we’ll also have some spooky tunes on in there to add to the atmosphere. Watch out for our mascot Blaze who will be out and about in his Halloween attire, with his bucket of Halloween sweets to hand out. We have face painting available with a Halloween twist. We also have some of our regular kids entertainment with the Rotary hook a duck, Bouncy castles and our children’s playground. We hope everyone has a great afternoon of fun.

Don’t forget that Newton Abbot Racecourse is open for business all year round for events, occasions, conferencing and much more. If you haven’t booked your Christmas party yet just give us a call, we only have limited availability. Come along to our famous Christmas Fayre on Saturday 29th November We currently have the Circus with us and watch out for Stitch Fest, Antiques Fair, Toy Fair and more.

Finally thank you to you all for supporting us through thick and thin, it is hugely appreciated and valued and we hope to see you soon. Have a great day Have a great day.

Best wishes

TIMEFORM VIEW Showed improved form to get off the mark in 6-runner handicap hurdle at Taunton (19f, good) in March, despite looking awkward/hanging left. Off since but has the ability to hold his own in this higher-class handicap. TFRHHHHI BHA116

DECLARED RUNNERS 7 2024: CATCH HIM DERRY (IRE) 6 11 1 Harry Skelton 9-4 (Dan Skelton) 9 ran Tongue Strap worn by No 2. Running for the first time since Wind Surgery No 1, 3.

Probable S.P.’s: 3-1 King of The Lake (GB), 10-3 J J Moon (GB), 4-1 Kayf Dancer (GB), 9-2 Don’t Wind Me Up (GB), 12-1 Punta Del Este (FR), 14-1 Ambion View (FR), 28-1 Road Senam (FR)

KAYF DANCER is seemingly hard to train but he shaped well when third to The New Lion in a maiden hurdle at Chepstow last October and has to be of major interest now going handicapping with a good-value claimer in the saddle JJ Moon is another with solid novice form and is much respected for a yard amongst the winners, while the selection’s stablemate Don’t Wind Me Up is capable of making his presence felt at this higher level.
