WELCOME TO

A warm welcome to the Rowley Mile for the Dubai Future Champions Festival. Today is the opening day of our flagship Newmarket autumn racing fixture showcasing two days of world-class racing. We must extend our gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Godolphin for their continued generosity and invaluable support of this special weekend, this year marking more than 30 years of their association with Newmarket Racecourses. Our thanks also go to World Pool and to bet365, who sponsor today’s feature contest. The Group One bet365 Fillies’ Mile offers a glimpse into the future of the sport, shining a light on the very best fillies of their generation. We are also delighted to welcome Godolphin’s exclusive pop-up shop on the Boulevard this weekend, where racegoers can purchase merchandise and more. For further details, please refer to the course map in this racecard. Today we also welcome students from Newmarket Academy to the racecourse, as part of the Newmarket Academy Godolphin Beacon Project and the Godolphin Under Starters Orders Programme. We also welcome representatives from the Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards, Newmarket Pony Academy and Godolphin Lifetime Care, all of whom are generously supporting races today. Racegoers can learn more about these great projects and initiatives throughout the racecard. Our thanks go to the European Breeders Fund for their contribution throughout the season and to Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai for their generous support of the Owners & Trainers facility. Tomorrow, we look forward to more Group One action, with the Darley Dewhurst Stakes, where we may see a live contender for next year’s Classics. Tickets are on sale for the 2027 Guineas Festival, via the Newmarket Racecourses website. Looking ahead, we are currently rolling out announcements for our 2027 calendar. Tickets for the 2027 Guineas Festival are already on sale, alongside the first two headliners for our seven-date Newmarket Nights series—Simply Red and Olly Murs. Over the coming weeks, you can expect the remaining music acts, the July Festival on-sale dates, and the wider 2027 fixture list to follow in quick succession. To ensure you don’t miss out, stay close to our social media channels and opt in to our email communications at www.thejockeyclub. co.uk/newmarket to receive updates straight to your inbox. On behalf of all at Newmarket Racecourses, I wish you a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and the very best of luck to all runners and their connections. Best wishes,

EXPERT VIEW

A quick way to see a horse’s past performance. These are its recent finishing positions.

How the experts rate the horse’s chances:

Look out for Letters: C D CD BF

= Has won at this course = Has won over this distance = Has won over this distance at this course = Was a beaten favourite

MORE INFORMATION ON THE FORM / P F U R CO B S r

= New racing season = Missed racing season = Was pulled-up and didn’t finish the race = Horse fell = Rider unseated = Horse refused to race = The horse was forced out of a race by a loose horse = Horse was brought down = Horse slipped = The horse ran around a jump or took the wrong course in a flat race = Disqualified

d Bold form figures = performance in all-weather (Flat) or Point-to-Point (Jump) races

2. BHA rating = the higher the number, the better the horse. 3. Timeform view and TFR rating 4. HORSE’S TRAINER & THEIR LOCATION

Look out for the summary of leading course trainers before each race. 5. JOCKEYS Listen out for any jockeys who are having a successful day. OTHER USEFUL DETAILS 6. Owner’s colours worn by the Jockey 7. Saddlecloth number 8. Horse’s name 9. Days since the horse last run 10. Horse’s age 11. Jockey’s weight (stone and lbs) 12. The horse’s breeding – father (sire) and mother (dam) 13. Horse’s owner 14. Horse’s breeder 15. Birthplace of horse (outside GB) 16. Draw – position of the horse in the starting stalls

BETTING EXPLAINED Select your horse. Note their name and saddlecloth number.

Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.

Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.

Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.

‘To win’ is for your horse to come first. ‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.

Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

Precise emphatically justified going off as market favourite by storming to a threeand-a-quarter length victory for trainer Aidan O’Brien. The daughter of Starspangledbanner came into this contest off the back of a victory in a Group 3 at Goodwood and a success in a Group 1 at the Curragh. She certainly made no mistake and made it four wins on the spin. Since then, she has won the Irish 1000 Guineas and the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Delivered by the charity Racing to School, the Under Starter’s Orders programme offers primary school children a valuable insight into the diverse nature of the racing and breeding industry. Every year, pupils visit the home of Darley’s world-famous stallions at Dalham Hall Stud, spend a day exploring the town’s sporting history at the National Horseracing Museum, experience life at The National Stud, and witness the action on the track at Newmarket racecourse.

For more info Phone 01638 501820 Email npa@brs.org.uk

Based at the British Racing School, the Newmarket Pony Academy works with local primary schools to help children engage with horses through a five-day programme, plus after-school clubs and courses. Initiated by Godolphin and launched in 2021, the academy serves mainly children aged from 10 to 11, as well as those with special needs from other age groups.

SIXTH RACE

The vote goes to FORTY YEARS ON, who has proved most progressive in handicaps this season. She looks well worth another chance at Listed level, with the forecast rain certainly no harm to her chances. Dance In The Storm again showed plenty of speed when fifth in the Ayr Gold Cup and is still relatively unexposed as a sprinter. She’s feared most ahead of The Prettiest Star, who has some classy form, while fast-improving Zen Diva also needs a close look.

CONDITIONS OF RACECOURSE

ENTRY

TO

Management reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the racecourse any person without assigning a reason. In particular, any instance of unruly behaviour, such as drunkenness, abusive conduct, singing or shouting, shall entitle the Racecourse Executive to expel the offending racegoer without prior notice. Racegoers must abide by any regulations including the observance of designated non-drinking areas. At Newmarket Racecourses we believe racing should be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. And one thing is certainly true, the more relaxed and comfortable we feel, the more likely we are to have a great time. So that’s why we’ve created one very simple piece of guidance, to come “dressed to feel your best”. We’re all unique, and no more so than in our sense of style and comfort. For some, wearing a nice sweatshirt, pair of jeans and clean trainers is what makes them feel confident and at-ease. For others, they might prefer to turn heads with a sharp suit or glamorous dress and high heels, particularly for one of our big race meetings. But whatever your tastes, the most important thing when choosing your outfit is, of course, comfort and confidence. So wear what feels right for you and will keep you feeling your best from start to finish, whatever the weather. Here’s some other useful tips and advice for making sure your time with us is as memorable as possible. Fancy dress can often add colour and fun to our racedays, but please avoid inappropriate or offensive outfits, as anything deemed vulgar or derogatory may be refused entry. We love other sports as much as anyone, but showing allegiance to a favourite club can sometimes appear antagonistic. So, to keep things simple, please refrain from wearing team kits when attending one of our racedays.

Only individuals in possession of a valid betting badge and occupying an authorised pitch are entitled to lay bets in the course of their business. Any individuals found contravening these conditions will be evicted. Members of the public may not use two-way radios, scanning receivers etc, for any purpose at the racecourse.

EMERGENCY NOTICE In an event of an emergency please be guided by our security stewards and by messages you will see and hear around the racecourse. We would advise that you keep your personal belongings with you at all times. In the event of an evacuation please do as requested by Newmarket Racecourses Management and security staff. They will direct you to a safe place. Do not attempt to regain access to buildings.

FEEDBACK We are always pleased to hear from our customers and are grateful for any feedback you can provide about your visit today. There are short contact forms available online at thejockeyclub.co.uk/ newmarket and we value your comments.

THE COURSE IS FOR HORSES Please keep off the track. The track is for horses, their jockeys and stable staff, please keep them and yourselves safe by remaining inside the barriers. Anyone trespassing on the track will be: Liable to arrest and prosecution; Ejected immediately; Banned from all future Newmarket race meetings; May face a nationwide racecourse ban.

HEALTH AND SAFETY NOTICE The Racecourse would be grateful if you would observe all Health & Safety requirements whilst you are at Newmarket Racecourses. We would request that only those that are disabled use the disabled viewing area and that parents keep a close eye on all children and prevent them from climbing the running rails and getting on to the actual racecourse. We would also like to remind racegoers that we do have a first aid room. Should anyone require any assistance please speak to the nearest steward.

IMPORTANT

NOTICES

NOTICES Weights, Pedigrees, Trainers’ Names, Descriptions, Performances and Values of races have been added for the convenience of the Public, but are subject to alteration. All horses must parade in the Parade Ring except by permission of the Stewards, but in all cases must pass through the Ring on the way to the Post.

PARADE RING ACCESS In the interests of safety, access to the parade ring is strictly limited to Owners and Trainers with runners in the race, British Horseracing Authority Officials and Racecourse Officials who are on duty at the meeting and Emergency Service Personnel. Those people holding badges or accreditation that allow access to the Parade Ring are asked to refrain from entering this area unless it is absolutely necessary in the course of their business.

PHOTOGRAPHY Racegoers may take photographs for private purposes in the public enclosures. Under no circumstances may photographs taken on the racecourse be used for publication without prior accreditation being obtained. Flash photography is not permitted anywhere in the Parade Ring or Winner’s Enclosure areas, or anywhere in the close vicinity of horses. The official photographer is John Hoy. To see any of his images please visit www.hoycubed.com

HBLB PRIZE MONEY The Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB) has allocated £77.1m in prizemoney for 2026. Since 2000 HBLB has invested £1.5bn in prize money to support the British horseracing industry.

RACEHORSE & JOCKEY WELFARE The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority. The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation. The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses deliver these standards. In addition Newmarket Racecourses employs a minimum of three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse. In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey. If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital.
