A tightly-knit Group 3 on Timeform ratings with SPIRITED STYLE just about the most persuasive option. Fast-tracked to Group 1 company, she was looked after once her chance had gone in the German Oaks and down in class, this looks a good spot to bounce back. Favorite Memory and Little Dorrit contested a handicap last time but they don’t have a lot to find representing excellent yards.

JOEL STAKES
Today’s feature contest, the Group Two Boylesports Daily Racing Rewards Equiworld, Dubai Joel Stakes, was established in 1987. It was initially called the Main Reef Stakes and staged over 10 furlongs for three-year-olds. It was reduced in distance from 10 furlongs to a mile in 1989 and in the same year was opened up to older horses.
In 1994 it was renamed the Joel Stakes in honour of the late Jim Joel (18941992), one of the great owner-breeders of the 20th century and one of only four people to have owned the winner of Britain’s two most famous racesthe Derby (Royal Palace, 1967) and Grand National (Maori Venture, 1987).
A Listed race from 1991, it was upgraded to Group Three status in 2003 and further elevated to Group Two level in 2011
The Joe Stakes has had two dual winners during its history – Mutasaabeq (2022, 2023) and Benbatl (2019, 2021)
Oisin Murphy is the most successful jockey with four wins courtesy of Beat The Bank (2017), Benbatl (2019,2021) and Kameko (2020).
Among trainers, the now-retired Sir Michael Stoute and Saeed bin Suroor share top honours with a quartet of winners each Stoute struck gold with Sabotage (1989), Rob Roy (2005), Confront (2009) and Mustashry (2018), while bin Suroor’s winners were Satchem (2006), Creachadoir (2007) and Benbatl (2019, 2021)

This looks decidedly trappy, not least as the vast majority haven’t been seen in recent months. A chance is taken on BURDETT ROAD bouncing back to form to repeat last year’s all-the-way success in this. Isle of Jura will be a major threat if fully primed for his first outing since beating Goliath in the Hardwicke at last year’s Royal Ascot Aimeric goes well fresh and is also shortlisted.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO RACECOURSE
Management reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the racecourse any person without assigning a reason. In particular, any instance of unruly behaviour, such as drunkenness, abusive conduct, singing or shouting, shall entitle the Racecourse Executive toexpel the offending racegoer without prior notice. Racegoers must abide by any regulations including the observance of designated non-drinking areas
At Newmarket Racecourses we believe racing should be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. And one thing is certainly true, the more relaxed and comfortable we feel, the more likely we are to have a great time. So that’s why we’ve created one very simple piece of guidance, to come “dressed to feel your best”.
We’re all unique, and no more so than in our sense of style and comfort. For some, wearing a nice sweatshirt, pair of jeans and clean trainers is what makes them feel confident and at-ease. For others, they might prefer to turn heads with a sharp suit or glamorous dress and high heels, particularly for one of our big race meetings But whatever your tastes, the most important thing when choosing your outfit is, of course, comfort and confidence. So wear what feels right for you and will keep you feeling your best from start to finish, whatever the weather. Here’s some other useful tips and advice for making sure your time with us is as memorable as possible.
Fancy dress can often add colour and fun to our racedays, but please avoid inappropriate or offensive outfits, as anything deemed vulgar or derogatory may be refused entry.
We love other sports as much as anyone, but showing allegiance to a favourite club can sometimes appear antagonistic So, to keep things simple, please refrain from wearing team kits when attending one of our racedays.
Only individuals in possession of a valid betting badge and occupying an authorised pitch are entitled to lay bets in the course of their business. Any individuals found contravening these conditions will be evicted. Members of the public may not use two-way radios, scanning receivers etc, for any purpose at the racecourse.
EMERGENCY NOTICE
In an event of an emergency please be guided by our security stewards and by messages you will see and hear around the racecourse We would advise that you keep your personal belongings with you at all times. In the event of an evacuation please do as requested by Newmarket Racecourses Management and security staff They will direct you to a safe place. Do not attempt to regain access to buildings

RACEHORSE & JOCKEY WELFARE
The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards In addition Newmarket Racecourses employs a minimum of three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital
