CHAMPIONS FESTIVAL F R I DAY 10 O C TO B E R 202 5 OFFIC I AL R AC EC ARD £3. 50

WELCOME TO

A very warm welcome to the Rowley Mile for Dubai Future Champions Festival Friday, the opening day of our flagship Newmarket autumn racing fixture showcasing two days of world-class competition. We extend our sincere gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Godolphin for their continued generosity and invaluable support of this special weekend. Our thanks also go to bet365, sponsor of today’s feature contest. The Group One bet365 Fillies’ Mile offers a glimpse into the future of the sport, shining a light on the very best fillies of their generation. Last year’s winner, Desert Flower, went on to victory in the Betfred 1,000 Guineas and a third-place finish in the Betfred Oaks. Beyond the excitement on the track, we invite you to enjoy the many food and beverage experiences available throughout the course. Join us for Darts with the Stars featuring Keith Deller and Colin Lloyd, delight in the live music from the Roaming Stars on the Hyperion Lawn and keep an eye out for The Snap Chaps, who will be entertaining racegoers across the afternoon. We are also delighted to welcome Godolphin’s exclusive pop-up shop on the Boulevard this weekend, where racegoers can purchase merchandise and more. For further details, please refer to the course map in this racecard. Our thanks goes to the European Breeders Fund for their contribution throughout the season and to Al Basti Equiworld, Dubai for their generous support of the Owners & Trainers facility. Looking further ahead, tickets and annual memberships for our 2026 fixtures here at the Rowley Mile are now on sale. With an exceptional calendar of racing alongside entertainment for all ages, there is something for everyone to enjoy. To secure your place, visit www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/newmarket. On behalf of all of us, I wish you a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and the very best of luck to the horses, their owners, trainers, and connections. Best wishes,

Sophie Able Newmarket Racecourses and International Director

2. BHA rating = the higher the number, the better the horse. 3. Timeform view and TFR rating 4. HORSE’S TRAINER & THEIR LOCATION

Look out for the summary of leading course trainers before each race. 5. JOCKEYS Listen out for any jockeys who are having a successful day. OTHER USEFUL DETAILS 6. Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.

Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.

‘To win’ is for your horse to come first. ‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.

Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

NEWMARKET RACECOURSE GROUNDSTAFF NAMED FLAT COURSE WINNERS AT RCA GROUNDSTAFF AWARDS Newmarket Racecourse’s dedicated Grounds Team has been named Flat Course Winners at this year’s Racecourse Association (RCA) Groundstaff Awards. The accolade is recognition of their outstanding performance, innovation and commitment to delivering a first-class racing surface. This achievement comes after a particularly challenging year, with an unprecedented and prolonged dry summer. Despite these conditions, the team maintained safe going for every fixture across both of Newmarket’s racecourses. Their work included the first major renovation of the July Course racing surface in 25 years, enhancing drainage, firmness and riding confidence; the use of wireless soil monitors to prepare the track for the Betfred Guineas Festival and upgrades to the July Course Winners Enclosure, improving both safety and accessibility. The Newmarket Grounds Team have devoted countless hours to keeping the track at its very best. Thanks to their dedication, the racecourse continues to provide a safe, highquality surface for racing and an exceptional experience for everyone both on and off the track. This recognition underscores horseracing’s ongoing focus on innovation, high standards and equine welfare, with Grounds Teams at the heart of maintaining some of the country’s most iconic racetracks.

BREED YOUR CHAMPION

Opening young eyes to the racing and breeding industry, and highlighting Newmarket’s unique position as the historic home of the sport, is a shared vision between Godolphin and The Jockey Club.

Delivered by the charity Racing to School, the Under Starter’s Orders programme invites nine to 10-year-olds from up to 15 local primary schools to three key events each year. By getting up close to the horses and the teams working with them, children gain a greater understanding of the thoroughbred industry and the town’s rich racing heritage.

CONDITIONS OF RACECOURSE

ENTRY

TO

Management reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject from, the racecourse any person without assigning a reason. In particular, any instance of unruly behaviour, such as drunkenness, abusive conduct, singing or shouting, shall entitle the Racecourse Executive toexpel the offending racegoer without prior notice. Racegoers must abide by any regulations including the observance of designated non-drinking areas. At Newmarket Racecourses we believe racing should be enjoyed by anyone and everyone. And one thing is certainly true, the more relaxed and comfortable we feel, the more likely we are to have a great time. So that’s why we’ve created one very simple piece of guidance, to come “dressed to feel your best”. We’re all unique, and no more so than in our sense of style and comfort. For some, wearing a nice sweatshirt, pair of jeans and clean trainers is what makes them feel confident and at-ease. For others, they might prefer to turn heads with a sharp suit or glamorous dress and high heels, particularly for one of our big race meetings. But whatever your tastes, the most important thing when choosing your outfit is, of course, comfort and confidence. So wear what feels right for you and will keep you feeling your best from start to finish, whatever the weather. Here’s some other useful tips and advice for making sure your time with us is as memorable as possible. Fancy dress can often add colour and fun to our racedays, but please avoid inappropriate or offensive outfits, as anything deemed vulgar or derogatory may be refused entry. We love other sports as much as anyone, but showing allegiance to a favourite club can sometimes appear antagonistic. So, to keep things simple, please refrain from wearing team kits when attending one of our racedays.

Only individuals in possession of a valid betting badge and occupying an authorised pitch are entitled to lay bets in the course of their business. Any individuals found contravening these conditions will be evicted. Members of the public may not use two-way radios, scanning receivers etc, for any purpose at the racecourse.

EMERGENCY NOTICE In an event of an emergency please be guided by our security stewards and by messages you will see and hear around the racecourse. We would advise that you keep your personal belongings with you at all times. In the event of an evacuation please do as requested by Newmarket Racecourses Management and security staff. They will direct you to a safe place. Do not attempt to regain access to buildings.

FEEDBACK We are always pleased to hear from our customers and are grateful for any feedback you can provide about your visit today. There are short contact forms available online at thejockeyclub.co.uk/ newmarket and we value your comments.

THE COURSE IS FOR HORSES Please keep off the track. The track is for horses, their jockeys and stable staff, please keep them and yourselves safe by remaining inside the barriers. Anyone trespassing on the track will be: Liable to arrest and prosecution; Ejected immediately; Banned from all future Newmarket race meetings; May face a nationwide racecourse ban.

HEALTH AND SAFETY NOTICE The Racecourse would be grateful if you would observe all Health & Safety requirements whilst you are at Newmarket Racecourses. We would request that only those that are disabled use the disabled viewing area and that parents keep a close eye on all children and prevent them from climbing the running rails and getting on to the actual racecourse. We would also like to remind racegoers that we do have a first aid room. Should anyone require any assistance please speak to the nearest steward.

HBLB PRIZE MONEY The Horserace Betting Levy Board prize fund schemes provide for the estimated inclusion of £1,207,590 in ratecard and incremental prize money at this racecourse from 15th September to 31st December 2025.

RACEHORSE & JOCKEY WELFARE The welfare of the sport’s equine and human participants is paramount to British Horseracing. All racehorses competing in Britain are stabled at the premises of trainers who are licensed by The British Horseracing Authority. The standards demanded by The BHA of licensed racehorse trainers far exceed those prescribed by animal welfare legislation. The British Horseracing Authority similarly licenses every racecourse, setting high standards for the racing surface and all parts of the course used by competitors, both human and equine. BHA Officials ensure that racecourses delivers these standards. In addition Newmarket Racecourses employs a minimum of three veterinary surgeons, whose sole responsibility it is to provide care to the horses throughout their time at the racecourse. In the event of an incident on the racecourse, any horse affected will receive immediate treatment from the racecourse’s veterinary team. Qualified paramedics and doctors are also on hand in the case of any incident involving a jockey. If any incident occurs during a race it is routine practice for screens to be erected around the horse or jockey receiving treatment. This is to allow the veterinary or medical personnel to make a safe and accurate diagnosis and so that they may perform any treatment in a private and calm environment. If necessary, horses and riders will be transported from the course to receive further treatment at the nearest equine hospital or Accident & Emergency hospital.
