The Jockey Club would like to thank our Group Partners for their support in 2024

As a leading distributor of horse feed, bedding and supplements in the greater GCC area, I am once again immensely proud to support the Jockey Club at Newmarket Racecourses for the 2024 season. Newmarket is credited as being where thoroughbred racing first started which is why so many from every corner of the world assemble and appreciate The Rowley Mile and The July Course.

As ever, the enthusiasm of Sophie Able and her team at Newmarket translates into a top class service for Owners, Trainers, Jockeys and Stable Staff and for that we are deeply grateful.

I would like to wish all those visiting Newmarket throughout the 2024 season, the very best of luck.

Have a wonderful day at the races today.

BETTING EXPLAINED

Select your horse. Note their name and saddlecloth number

Choose your bet. ‘To win’ or ‘each-way’ are popular types of bet.

‘To win’ is for your horse to come first.

‘Each-way’ is for your horse to come first or to be placed. It’s two bets, so ‘£2 each-way’ = £4 total bet.

Decide the amount – or stake – you are comfortable to bet.

Place your bet. There are different places to bet on course; The Tote, racecourse bookmakers, betting shop or online. Each option offers a different experience.

Collect. Once ‘Weighed-in’ has been announced, present your betting slip and collect any winnings.

There’s a strong possibility MISS BODACIOUS will be better over a bit further in due course, but an opening BHA mark of 74 is potentially lenient for a filly whose physique, attitude and pedigree suggest there is even better to come, so she’s taken to come out on top. Boadicia ran out a ready winner of a Salisbury handicap 4 weeks ago and is feared most, along with Cuban Melody

RHYTHM N HOOVES: Following its run on 9/6/2024 it was reported that the horse was bumped leaving the stalls. Probable S.P’s: 9-2 Completely Random (GB), 6-1 Eminency (IRE), 15-2 Many A Star (IRE), 8-1 Trefor (IRE), 10-1 Al Simmo (GB), 12-1 Abate (GB), 14-1 Goal Exceeded (GB), 16-1 Tiger Crusade (FR), 18-1 How Impressive (IRE), 20-1 Rhythm N Hooves (GB), 28-1 Dashing Dick (IRE), 33-1 Wallop (IRE), 40-1 Bulldog Drummond (GB)

The pick ofthese could be EMINENCY, who finished with a flourish when just failing at Goodwood and this stiffer track will be in his favour Completely Random went down narrowly to a most progressive type on the other course here last time and he is a much-respected main danger, while Trefor is another 3-y-o with a chance. ManyA Star completes the shortlist.
