West Berkshire Mencap began in 1954. We provide one to one, group and residential support for adults, young people and children who have a learning disability. Our service also cares for the families and carers of our community members.

Over the years our service provision has adapted to meet the changing world we live in; we have enhanced our people focused approaches to best serve the needs of our individuals and the lives of the people who care for them.

We are passionate about ensuring our community members have access to education and training, social inclusion and opportunities to live life to the full and to the best of their own ability. This is seen through the many programmes we offer as a service: supported employment; education; training; social activities and independent living schemes. Child focused play and learning both in our Mencap Centre and our large playground.
