Today's day's feature race is the Queen Of Scots Listed Stakes for three-yearthree-year-olds and upwards. Run over seven furlongs, gs, twelve go to post in what looks an interesting contest. HAPP HAPPY CRAF is having her ﬁrst start for Martin Smith mith after an excellent time with Allan M Smith. Bahrain form can c be hard to read but the handicapper iss taking no chances and she has been alloted a rating of 104. LET'S LE travels over from Ireland for Ken Condon, ondon, she's no stranger to British racetracks and should go well from f the same mark as when she last ran in Britain. St Alban's Bloodstock are well represented with two th three-year-olds. EIDIKOS hails from the Edward Bethell yard and ran with a lot of credit dit on her ﬁrst start back at York and can't be underestimated.

She is stepping up a furlong in trip and the booking ng of HOLLIE DOYLE again iis eyecatching. DANIEL TUDHOPE has four rides today and perhaps the most exciting of these is IMPRO IMPROVISED. A three time winner as a juvenile, she hasn't really managed to get going on either of her two starts this season but you can never underestimate DANIEL TUDHOPE at the he track.

TRAINERS TO WATCH DAVID O'MEARA sends just the three runners on Sunday but Starshiba looks to have dropped to a workable mark and this may have been the plan for some time. The ﬁve-year-old is 3lb lower than his last run and is now 5lb lower than when he last won. Kevin Stott is in the saddle, and this could be the day he gets his nose back in front. GRANT TUER has begun to hit a little bit of form, so make sure to watch out for his two runners today. EMARATY HERO has been knocking on the door in all of his last three starts and a win for him can't be far away.

RACE DESCRIPTIONS 3.45 THE SKY BET SUNDAY SERIES RESTRICTED MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 4) (GBB RACE) This race is a seven furlongs maiden stakes for two-year-olds. Maiden races provide a starting point for young horses that are yet to record a victory and most will be very lightly-raced or be making their racecourse debuts. Previous experience can count for a lot when searching for the winner but well-bred or precocious juveniles are more than capable of landing the prize at the ﬁrst time of asking.

4.16 THE SKY BET SUNDAY SERIES APPRENTICE HANDICAP (CLASS 4) This is a ﬁve furlongs handicap race for four year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 0 to 80. In a handicap the weight that each of the runners carries is determined by their ofﬁcial handicap rating which is based on their level of form shown so far. The aim is to ensure competitive racing by asking the higher rated horses to carry more weight than a lower rated rival. As a guide, horses rated 40 tend to be at the lower end of the scale whilst the very best performers would be rated as high as 130.

4.45 THE SKY BET SUNDAY SERIES 3YO SPRINT HANDICAP (CLASS 4) This is a ﬁve furlongs handicap race for three-year-olds which have been rated from 0 to 85. In a handicap the weight that each of the runners carries is determined by their ofﬁcial handicap rating which is based on their level of form shown so far. 5.15 THE SKY BET SUNDAY SERIES STAYERS HANDICAP (CLASS 4) This is a two mile handicap race for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 0 to 85. In a handicap the weight that each of the runners carries is determined by their ofﬁcial handicap rating which is based on their level of form shown so far. The aim is to ensure competitive racing by asking the higher rated horses to carry more weight than a lower rated rival. As a guide, horses rated 40 tend to be at the lower end of the scale whilst the very best performers would be rated as high as 130.

5.45 THE SKY BET SUNDAY SERIES QUEEN OF SCOTS STAKES (CLASS 1) (LISTED RACE) (FORMERLY KNOWN AS THE MAGGIE DICKSON) Listed races are high class and only bettered by a Group 1, 2 or 3 contest. In effect, it is an intermediate level; many of the runners in this one mile and two furlongs contest will now have an ofﬁcial rating that makes it no longer feasible to run them in handicaps and will be using this race as a springboard to even better things. Initially, weight is allocated according to age and sex, before penalties are given to horses that have previously won at this level or above. These penalties range from 2lb for a Listed success to 8lb for a Group 1 victory.

6.15 THE SKY BET SUNDAY SERIES HANDICAP (CLASS 4) Once a horse has raced three times, or won a race, the ofﬁcial handicapper will allocate a rating based on its past performance/s and this dictates the weight which they will carry in a handicap. This particular seven furlongs handicap has been designed for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated between 0 and 80. Therefore, a horse ofﬁcially rated 65 would be required to carry 5lb more than a rival rated 60.

6.45 THE SKY BET SUNDAY SERIES MIDDLE-DISTANCE HANDICAP (CLASS 4) Our ﬁnal race is a one mile and four and a half furlongs handicap race for four-year-olds and upwards which have been rated from 0 to 80. In a handicap the weight that each of the runners carries is determined by their ofﬁcial handicap rating which is based on their level of form shown so far. The aim is to ensure competitive racing by asking the higher rated horses to carry more weight than a lower rated rival. SHUTTLE E BUS

Our shuttlee buses run every 10 minutess to and from the Racecourse se car park up until un the secondd race and they restart resta after the fourth th race. The bus stop is located on thee corner of Millhill Millhi and Balcarres Place ace

At every race meeting at Musselburgh there are three specially qualiﬁed equine vets appointed to look after the welfare of all horses in action. During a race two vets follow the action from the centre of thee cours course and can attend a casualty in the same responsee time as the Medical Meedical Teams responsible for the welfare of the Jockeys. ys. The third vet is based at the Stable Yard where a close check is keptt on all horses, especially those returning after a race. It is now standard rd practice for screens to be b erected around any horse receiving veterinaryy attention on the ground. This does not reﬂect on the severity of an injury, but allows the vet some privacy and the horse the opportunity, in a calm environment, vironment, to mak make a recovery. Please do not assume the worst if youu see screens erec erected around a fallen horse.

ATM

ATM Cash Machines are located adjacent to the Bistro Bar Glass Door & Main Tote Windows. Only £20 notes and multiples thereof are dispensed. There is a £2 transaction fee charged.

CLOAKROOM

Cloakroom facilities are available in the tunnel underneath the grandstand. The cloakroom closes 30 minutes after the last race. If lost property has not been claimed 30 days following the race meeting, items will be donated to charity.

SUNDAY 5TH JUNE The nearest train station to Musselburgh Racecourse is Wallyford on the Edinburgh Waverley to North Berwick train line. On racedays we organise a courtesy bus from Wallyford and Newcraighall train stations to the Racecourse, returning after racing.

WALLYFORD STATION RETURNS Buses will depart from the racecourse side (north) of Linkﬁeld Road at the corner of Millhill between 18:25 / 19:25 / 20:15

NEWCRAIGHALL TRAIN STATION RETURNS Newcraighall Train Station Returns bus will depart from the south side of Linkﬁeld Road at the corner of Millhill. Buses to Newcraighall will depart 17:55 / 18:55 / 19:55 to coincide with departure to Tweedbank at 18:28 / 19:23 / 20:23. Please note there is a half hourly train service during this period but our Courtesy bus will only operate hourly. Please refer to Scotrail.co.uk for the most up to date train times for your journey. Please note that the times may be changeable and it is best to check 24 hours before travelling.
