Meet & Greet Bluey at intervals throughout the day
SUNDAY 6 AUGUST
OFFICIAL RACECARD £3.00
FAMILY RACEDAY
The Jockey Club would like to thank our Group Partners for their support in 2023
Welcome to Market Rasen for the Gardiner Hill Foundation Family Raceday.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our generous sponsors of this afternoon’s card, Steve Bennett Architectural Design, Illumina Diagnostics, The Gardiner Hill Foundation, the friends and family of Annie Gogo, F4 IT and Streets Chartered Accountants.
We have a great eight race card, with all races restricted to riders who have ridden less than 20 winners in 2022
Away from the racing, we have a huge amount of family entertainment on offer for all ages. There is the opportunity for our youngest racegoers to take part in a meet and greet with Bluey, along with face painters in the Victor Lucas Bar and inflatables based on the Playground Lawn in the Lawn Enclosure. Don’t forget our kids’ races, meet at Gate F at 12.45pm to take part, with three different categories to suit all ages
We encourage racegoers to enjoy the expanse of food and drink opportunities available across the course
Looking ahead, tickets are selling fast for Rasen Rocks with Tom Grennan live after evening racing on Saturday 19th August Fresh from being nominated for Best Rock/Alternative Act at the 2023 BRIT Awards, Tom will take to the stage for a full headline concert Limited tickets are still available via our website, www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/marketrasen
I do hope you have a very enjoyable afternoon with us, and I wish all the horses and their connections the very best of luck
Sue Lucas Chairman, Market Rasen Racecourse

TIMEFORM VIEW Poor maiden on the Flat who was well held on hurdlesdebutinMarch.
ROCK ON HARRY was only just denied on his handicap bow at Worcester and this looks an excellent opportunity back in a maiden. Saint Jaguen can follow him home in a weak affair

CROAGH PATRICK has been running well lately and this doesn’t look a strong handicap, so he might be able to belatedly get back on the scoresheet. Hardy Boy looks the main danger and Cilluirid, an old rival of the selection, is a player if he gets the trip

CLASSIC LADY was a lot better than the result at Cartmel and can show she’s still ahead of the handicapper having been freshened up since. Riggsby caught the eye a bit at Southwell last time and is interesting now stepping up in trip given how well he stays on the Flat. Pardon Me could be all the sharper with a recent run under her belt and also makes the shortlist.

In a contest where very few arrive with compelling claims a chance is taken on the returning BARI BREEZE, who wasn’t in much form over fences when last seen in November but is on a good mark if sparking back to life returned to hurdles after a break. The unexposed Rhodia could be sharper for her Cartmel reappearance and is second choice ahead of Black Lightning.
