The Rand Farm Park Boxing Day at Market Rasen has historically been a Lincolnshire Christmas ritual for many making it one of the most popular dates on our calendar. Today promises to provide all the top quality racing action from the seven race card headlined by the three and a half mile Lincolnshire National, Market Rasen’s answer to the iconic Grand National at Aintree. Former victor of this unique race includes three times winner Victory Gunner who wo went on to race until he was 17!
In addition to the action on track, we will be live screening the Ladbrokes King George VI from Kempton Park on our big screens.
I would like to take this opportunity to extend our huge appreciation to Rand Farm Park and Chestnut Homes for supporting today’s racing. I would also like to thank Deafblind UK for their support at Market Rasen and encourage anyone who can to donate to their cause when departing the racecourse A special mention for Chris Liesack who has once again generously supported the Lincolnshire National for the 2022 renewal.
On course there is no shortage of food and beverage options to keep you warm and replete as you take in the racing from any of the on course vantage points Off the track Lincolnshire’s premier party band Route 180 will be providing fun and funky cheer in between races in the Tattersalls enclosure while you’ll find ever popular Moonshiners Duo performing hits from the last seven decades in Tiger Roll Bar. See if you can out-trick the cheeky National Elves roaming throughout the course or take on the Rodeo Reindeer in the Tattersalls enclosure while the kids burn off steam and get their face painted in the Lawn enclosure
Our annual badge packages are also on sale, benefits include discounted admission to all our race fixtures as well as access to exclusive facilities among others. Please enquire in the office today or purchase online.
This will be my last raceday as Chairman before handing over the reins to Sue Lucas in the New Year Please join me in extending the warmest of welcomes to her and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at Market Rasen for many enjoyable years of service. I hope that you have a fantastic Boxing Day and would like to wish all the horses and their connections the very best of luck.
