Market Rasen Racecard - Friday 3rd June

Page 1

THE JOCKEY CLUB WELCOMES YOU

Welcome to Market Rasen for our Platinum Jubilee Garden Party, a chance to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with friends and family. I would like to take this chance to mention the charities we are supporting today, through the naming of races throughout the afternoon. The Retraining of Racehorses is British Horseracing’s Official Charity, which promotes the versatility and adaptability of racehorses for other equestrian activities following their retirement from racing. More information can be found through their website: https://www.ror.org.uk/ Racing Welfare supports the workforce of British horseracing by providing professional guidance and practical help to the stud, stable and racecourse staff whose dedication is vital for the well-being of racing. Their work helps people, from recruitment to retirement, to thrive in day to day life. More information can be found through their website: https://racingwelfare.co.uk/ Our Charity of the Year, DeafBlind UK will also be on site. They help people who are blind to live with their condition and to build their confidence and independence. More information can be found through their website: https://deafblind.org.uk/ Throughout the afternoon there will be a range of free activities to celebrate the historic Platinum Jubilee. Across the racecourse, racegoers can find Crown workshops, inflatable fun and games, plus pony hop racing. There is also an afternoon tea package which will be available for takeaway from the Red Rum Bar, which includes a traditional afternoon tea for two. Ask any of our friendly stewards to help point you in the right direction. The summer season is jumping into action here at Market Rasen, including the highlight of our season, the Unibet Summer Plate Ladies Day on Saturday 16 July, along with our Family Extravaganza Raceday in association with DeafBlind UK on Sunday 31 July. Tickets for all 2022 meetings are on sale through www.thejockeyclub.co.uk/marketrasen We hope you enjoy your day and look forward to welcoming you back again soon. TOMMY COOPER Chairman, Market Rasen racecourse
